Somehow, finishing kingdom of ash for a second time hurts even WORSE than the first time around

No because u dont understand. I think gavriel is officially ranked in my top-tier, favorite characters of all time. I have developed a seriously, infringing attachment to this male. And the. way. that. rereading his death. THE LOVE THAT POWERED HIM THRUOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THIS BOOK?!?&8;&2 no. dont speak to me. dont look at me. I am rocking back and forth on the floor with my thumb in my mouth!!!! LITERALLY ANYONE BUT GAVRIEL?!?? BUT NO. And the fact that aedion didn’t get the chance to say what he means to him. Nope. Leave. Shut the door behind you. I am OUT OF OFFICE NO!!!!!

EVIL MF MAEVE using her powers against rowan, lorcan, and fenrys to live their worst fears (i.e., lyria taunting rowan in front of aelin’s death, elide rejecting lorcan and calling him worthless, and fenrys reliving connall’s death over and over again — ALSO WANT TO EMPHASIZE the fact that fenrys was the only one out of the 3 who did not immediately respond to aelin’s summons/warning call/bridge/anchor — her burning — because he felt it was deserved. 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 no fenrys, no. She could only bring him out with their BLINK CODE STFU.!!!!!!!)

Fucking yrene SLAYYYYYIIIIIINNNNGGGG erawan (queen shit fr fr, and she didnt even FLINCH) and then the way aelin, and the entire army, then lifted up Yrene’s name in victory: “Yrene! Yrene! Yrene!” I literally wrote in my book, “we’re screaming her name till the end of time, folks”

No. I just thought about Aelin marching through the gates for the first time into her new world, alongside all the FIERCE, brave, courageous, loyal, STRONG, beautifully smart FEMALES who made all of it possible. I shed many tears here. And at the acknowledgment for Yrene’s mother and Lady Marion. 💖

Aelin said she would kill Maeve for what she did to Rowan… the bitch was not kidding 🤡🤣😜😏😜🫶🏽🌈

also almost all of them dying and then aelin bringing out a whole ass army like some endgame move???? idk how i didnt fully process this the first time around… but, woah. Powermove from the powerhouse. Im here for it.

Wolves… fae… feels awfully familiar to the whole crescent city, fae peoples that were originally lured over by the asteri… where the wolf tribes hail from… hmmmmmmm POSSIBLY A crescent city x tog overlap???? Multiverse possibility???? Likely not but i am wishing it for it with every fiber of my being

FOR THE RECORD: i personally think there are too many coincidences/overlaps between the books, as well as un-finished storylines, for there not to be *some* type of ToG involvement in the sjm multiverse that is unveiling.

For example: i realized in this book, or maybe empire or storms (?), that Dorian has every power of the high lord’s in acotar. Could dorian perhaps be high king???? Hmmmm. Interesting, interesting. (*I am kicking my feet and curling my toes*)

Do yourself a favor and reread the throne of glass series. Free will exists. Read it in whatever order you want. But read it, and thank me later. Because holy shit this series rocks and honestly, im tempted to start the reread ALL over again!!!!

★ What do you think of the new Throne of Glass covers? I really like them, especially the US ones! I feel they clearly identify the books as epic fantasy, which the series certainly grows toward throughout. I will forever love the old covers though, and you can be I’ll be cherishing my original set. I might just have to get another set of the OG covers so I can have them on display—right now they’re hidden by the incredible @nerdyink dust jacket set! I’m rereading the Throne of Glass series now (my first reread since Kingdom of Ash’s release! 😭) and am all up in my feels reconnecting with the characters.
