This really feels like the right way to denote Kaido's defeat.

Fully declaring that Luffy is Joyboy, at least in spirit. He's inherited Joyboy's will.

And I really like that they established so long ago that if it's one on one, Kaido wins. That's the rule the world assumes about Kaido.

Because Luffy has never been one for really going about the rules, always doing things that are said to be impossible, breaking free of the laws and rules set by the world at large.

So it's only natural he'd ignore that one, too.

Now I’m kinda wishing that Luffy and Kaido would’ve just formed a pirate alliance to get rid of the government...

I mean, this also sounds like something Luffy would do. In different world, different time, these two could’ve gotten along great.

I’m guessing folks haven’t been saying it because it’s kinda obvious, but lots of devil fruit users and lots of water = dire circumstances. The Beast pirates will be affected too.

O-Tama and Kin’emon are devil fruit users. O-Kiku too?

So is Raizou, though, but he can fly. Robin and Brook. Look at our polar bear and orca whale. Hopefully they can get their aquatic mojo on, although Bepo was exhausted last we saw. Jinbei can help out this way too.
