Word Count: 5.9 k (finishing edits so this might change)

Chapter Specific Notes: Fluff, Crack, tiniest bit of angst? But mostly fluffy and shenanigans.

Summary: Your entire world had be torn asunder by just one lab test. Time heals all wounds, but does it really? What will it take to feel whole again?

a/n: So despite me traveling, I’ve had the first few days of this trip to myself where I could write and edit. This chapter is WAY longer than I intended. Please look forward to the full chapter most likely tomorrow (or tonight) since I cannot make any guarantees that once the real events start, I’m going to be conscious enough to do anything having to do with this.

Chapter 4 Teaser - 

When you wake up the next morning, you know there are bags under your eyes. 

You roll over and grab your phone, immediately dialing Peter’s number. You need to talk to him about this. You need to clear the air with him.

“Hey, this is Peter’s voicemail! I’m, uh, probably at my...internship right now, yeah, so, sorry if I missed an important-- beep.” 

You don’t leave a voicemail.

“Bullcrap, Parker.” You sigh and dial his number again. You are going to talk to him this morning whether he likes it or not.

Nothing. He doesn’t answer the phone. This time, you do leave a voicemail.

“Peter, answer the dang phone or I’ll march over to your apartment right now.” You threaten. Once you end the voicemail, your phone pings. You check your texts.

Spidey Boy: Not answering.

“Fine. We’ll do this the hard way, then.”

Pen-Pen to the rescue! Will he be able to keep his promise he made to the Losers and spare the Bowers’ gang, or will his rage go out of control to the point to where he cannot tell the difference between a friend or a foe?

Foaming at the mouth, Penny tackles the closest of the Gang down the ground and sinks his sharp fangs into an arm and violently shakes his head. Belch screams with a mixture of pain and fear as he feels his bones break and his flesh tear to pieces.

Weapons littering the floor, the other boys scramble to the car and try to start it, but the engine is dead. Looking at Belch through the rear view mirror, they see the wolf staring right back at them with Belchs’ barely attached arm hanging from his mouth.

Terrified, they try to jump out of the car to run away, but their seat belts come to life, wrangling the boys and forcing them to stay put.

Kagome Higurashi didn’t want to be here. There were so many better things she could be doing on her Halloween night, like watching movies, or writing her dissertation, or just…

Not being here.

The last three weeks had flown by, filled with mentoring meetings for the Bioengineering Applications class, weekly coffee chats with Inuyasha as they planned the project for the rest of the year, and tailgating with the MBA program, not to mention actively writing her dissertation.

Kagome had never been so socially active in her life. She was honestly looking forward to a quiet night home alone, maybe kicking back with some guilty-pleasure TV, but then Yuka had texted asking her to come out.

Spending the day catching up on the two weeks of schoolwork I missed because of internship recruiting (I do not recommend doing midterms when behind on readings; IT WILL NOT END WELL), so I probably won’t be able to do much writing work today. Thought I’d drop a teaser from last night’s session to make up for it. ;)

i’ve been thinking about how i want to the run the course of chapter 4 in my fic as i left chapter 3 on a bit of a cliff hanger. so, i wonder what this next chapter will bring.

right, i will give a bit of a teaser. a few things:

-Lol steals Leah away for a few minutes to show her how the gizmo works (how is Eric going take this? hmm..)

-we finally meet little Dieta Stewart, Eric’s “apple of the eye” he shows his very fatherly side in this chapter

-Eric manages to get him and Leah alone again and shows her how he edits music. Things get a bit interesting here..

anyways, as Eric says “i don’t want to give all the secrets away” you will just have to read the chapter to find out how things pan out.
