To someone who had lost so much, the truth of saving a kid whom he didn’t even know the name of wouldn’t be much of a consolation. The boy was someone completely unrelated to him, after all. That boy was not his comrade or his family member.

Reading One Piece pt 203: Some Classy Moves

Chapter 450

Thoughts:

- We’re on Volume 47, folks!

- *looks at the cover* well, Luffy is having a grant time in that gold armor but everyone else… *cries* you are all so ugly

- I’m reading chapter titles and “Just not the afro!” and “Death doesn’t count as an apology” are next to each other. What a vibe switch, I’m scared

- Fpos/cs: Down the memory lane: Chibi soldier eats dinner with his dad and siblings :) aww

- ok, we’re with Scaredy Trio, everyone is yelling, Hogback is threatening everybody

- two points of interest: 1) apparently finding Cindry’s room is a big deal and 2) Shadow’s Guy with Sword’ name is Samurai Ryuuma (!!!)

- (3 points of interest, Cindry found some plates, probably to throw at our heroes. Is Cindry a horror play on sitcom wife?)

- Aww, Ryuuma is a zombie :(

- “Yohoho! There’s a really lovely princess over there! Perhaps you would be so kind as to show me your panties?” What the heck is wrong with dead people here

- Well, at least we know him and Brook are connected (Nami caught on that too, though villains probably didn’t?)

- “He’s a general zombie who holds a special body!!! A man who came from the country of Wano in the New World!” Wano? Isn’t that the Samurai Land in which One Piece has an arc running at the moment? Or at least did the last time I checked (it was 2 months ago)? That’s a good 500 chapters early story set-up. Damn. Sometimes I’m reminded that Oda actually has the whole story planned and I’m stunned at the genius of it all. Like, imagine the world if, let’s say, Kishimoto had Naruto all figured out at the beginning of the story. DAMN

- That samurai cut down a flying dragon? Respect
