On the Polar Tang, in Episode 983, the Akazaya Nine and allies are going over the plan of attack on Onigashima.

My (and Raizo’s) recollection is somewhat different as to the identity of the plan’s strategist.

Chapter 975, episode 981.

They keep the Eustass-ya in the anime. I wish they did in the manga. So much of Law’s personality seems to be lost without it. Anyhoo.

“We” here being Kin’emon and his fellow retainers I think. Like, yeah, he’s bluffing, Raizo’s critical, Denjiro’s simping.

Law might be a grumpy captain who doesn’t want the samurai on his submarine, but he lets Kin’emon save face by letting him claim credit for his plan (it does incorporate Kin’s original plan).

I know it’s played for laughs, but there’s enough time for Law to correct him, or blow a gasket, and he just doesn’t. Although he might not hear the second part of Kin’emon going over the plan, as it seems he’s in the sub. I’m not sure.

But, even without it, it goes to show that even if Law claims his submarine is not a garrison, it is a big yellow taxi, like the Joni Mitchell song.

And, now that we know that he’s invested in the poneglyphs too, maybe he wanted to keep in good with the minks and samurai who have connections to them.

- first things first: Chiffon and Lola finally reuniting? LOVE.

- the pure wholesomeness of having Jinbe back!!!!!! the strawhats literally forgetting about everything else and just wanting to turn the fuck up YES PLZ

- Franky’s “should we drink?” face YES

- Raizo being 👏🏻 so 👏🏻 done with Kin’emon’s bull shit but no one has the heart to tell Denjiro lmaoooo

- Law being like “yeah, let’s just use those two idiots (Luffy & Kid) as a diversion, they’re just gonna cause mayhem anyway” like boiiiii you’ve finally learned good for u

- the straw hats wiping out the guardians at the port no problem!!!!!!!! bad. ass.

- the scaredy cat trio doing what they do best

- ZORO’s PURE SMILE AS HE FOUND SOME ALCOHOL like boi u be getting lost trying to follow ur crew and getting stuck in chimneys but u can find alcohol easily no problem??? talk about priorities.

I'm gonna give my thoughts on chapter 977 on Sunday after the official drops. But I want to say, I more so thought the Kid Pirates were copying Killer's laugh in an attempt to make him feel better, etc.

Idk why they would be making fun of their nakama especially if they know the history behind the laugh and how serious the smile situation is after they too were captured. The Kid Pirates might be some violent asses but I doubt they'd do one of their own dirty like that... C'mon now guys.
