hm my feeling on Rudyard Funn are curious to me so I wanna talk about them

My headcannon for Rudyard is he is completely, entirely, totally and utterly aromantic asexual. This man ticks every single box for aroace stereotypes. He doesn’t want to be anywhere near those types of attractions and we love that for him. Rudyard is my aroace king, albeit the one who upsets his entire kingdom and gets exiled on his first day.

However there is a second version of Rudyard in my head, one that I don’t really think is real but that I keep around anyway for fun. And this rudyard is the chapyard rudyard. Ive read a few amazing chapyard fics and I love the two of them they’re interesting and I’m a sucker for rivals to lovers/secret relationship fics. So I read these and think about them still knowing its this second version cuz rudyard would rather give up Funn funerals and work as a kids birthday clown for the rest of his life than be attracted to eric.

GOD I miss chapyard. The enemies to lovers is just too good, I don't care if it wasn't end game, this is what fan fiction is for.

And damn it, I may just write some chapyard fic of my own because there's not nearly enough.

Sick fics are my bread and butter, so I may do one where Rudyard gets sick or injured and Chapman has to take care of him, and Rudyard is pissy about it while also feeling extremely flustered. Chapman not being very good at hiding how much he enjoys having an excuse to treat Rudyard in a way that's close to affection, and Rudyard being too dense to realize that Chapman has heart eyes for him.

Rudyard being confronted with his own feelings for Chapman while being cared for with a gentleness he's never experienced before and not knowing how to feel, being overwhelmed with a deep longing to stay there in those moments, but not wanting to give in to his emotions so easily.
