Our first product spotlight on Tumblr, for our Caitlyn Kiramman-inspired scented candle and fragrance oil!

Scented with Ylang-Ylang, Violet, and a touch of Amber, this fragrance is strong and distinctly feminine, evoking notions of high society and a marked sense of self: floral, rich,and sweet, just like our favourite Piltie sharp-shooter.

In coming up with this fragrance it felt incredibly natural leaning into more floral notes for Caitlyn. She's a logical individual who prides herself on her skill, and representing the Kiramman family name, and within that she retains an unabashed femininity. Using amber as a base note keeps that sense of nobility strong, with the ylang ylang providing a warmth that - when accompanied by the hints of violet, a reminder of her mother and partner's presence kept always in Cait's heart - creates a smell that's both straightforward and captivating.

a minor hobby/preoccupation i have is perfume copy; this is stymied by me not having the wherewithal needed to create my own fragrances

so i recently figured why not use the fragrance knowledge i DO have and choose already-made scents and combine that with my love of perfume copy and characterization

i made this for my sister for Christmas for one of her favorite characters by repurposing a real designer's candle and artist's art; it was SO MUCH FUN to choose the scent (based on the character) and write the copy (based on the real scent notes)

A black leather jacket worn every day, soft with use and the love of the kids under his wing. The sharp metal vinyl playing in the candle-lit background as he creates sideways worlds for them. The cement and fuel of the trailer lot, of the small world he is actually from. Stars reflecting in the lake outside the boathouse at night, like the impish sparkle in warm black eyes. And the electric buzz and sting of the last guitar song in that last of all upside-down worlds.

This year is my year; I can feel it.

my best friend got me a klaus scented candle for christmas but I’m not gonna actually have it for like three weeks and bruh i’m so excited but also like tf is it gonna smell like . . . death?

Made a very important discovery today at target:

This candle smells the way I imagine Ezra to smell. I know everyone’s obsessed with finding a Din candle, but ... no. This one is Ezra all the way.
