HER OPINIONS ON THEA/RANDOM FACTS(?)

gets a tad annoyed about the “forgetting to eat” thing, but carries food in her bag just in case.

can relate with the whole “dead mom thing”. might try a bit too hard to be a mother figure.

gets pissed when she constantly talks about her crush on bif and her complicated relationship with him, but immediately regrets it when she sees her reaction.

finds it absolutely adorable that she visits haerin in the autoshop.

thea is definitely one of haerins honourary kids now.

knows for a fact that gary is probably soaking some bullshit into theas mind, so she has to beat some sense into the boy occasionally.

everytime she asks her about her neck scar, she gets real mad. (should i reveal the scar story one day?)

takes her shopping with derby’s credit card.

Driving to work this morning and randomly concocted a total gut punch moment over Throttle and Daisy.

Jessie died when Daisy was about a year old, maybe almost 2. Still very small. Modo has been grieving and then infected and missing since she was about 2 and a half as she is about to turn 4 in the present fic.

While Mama Maverick and Sweep were mostly caring for Daisy at this point and of course would have given her reminders of her mama and daddy pretty regularly, I think the person who keeps Jessie’s memory alive most for her daughter IS Throttle

We know he spent whatever time he could at the Mavericks and that probably meant a lot of time with Daisy specifically. Showing her pictures and videos not just of her daddy and uncles but of her mother. Because Modo couldn’t or wasn’t there to do it. Because I feel like it would have been really hard for Sweep to do it and Mama too.

It’s penance. Imagine Modo going to show Daisy a pic of Jessie one day, expecting her to be confused or the memory to be hazy. But nope. She lights up and says “Mama!”

Because Throttle made damn sure she didn’t forget. He kept her alive for her in the only way he could.
