Summary: A story in which Remus Lupin meets a dark handsome stranger and they go for a road trip to rescue one little brother who’s probably into something very bad.

Comments: There’s something about this fic, I don’t know if it’s the on-point dialogue or the characterizations or the road trip drama, but it’s so gripping. I seriously loved these characters and their awkward, roundabout ways of doing things and expressing emotions. I’m kind of mad I didn’t read this sooner, it was fantastic.

#junejoyfest - Day 26

Summary: Remus goes to stay with his parents for two weeks. Sirius is distressed.

Comments: A wonderful text message fic where Remus goes back to his parents’ farm and Sirius pines dramatically. I loved the interactions with James, Lily, and Regulus, all the emoji usage, and the different names they used for each other in their phones. Funny, adorable, highly enjoyable read!

#aprilaufest - Day 3

Summary: Sirius Black has quite a few issues: He can't accept that he is only the lead singer of The Marauders half of the time, can't resist drawing attention to himself, and definitely can't resist Remus Lupin.

Comments: I love me a band!AU, and this one was super cute. It’s so much fun seeing the marauders as a band and the fun dynamics that play out; Regulus was a really nice addition in this one as well. Sirius was just the right balance of cocky and vulnerable; he struggles with jealousy and what to do about his feelings, but flirts outrageously with everyone on stage. It’s all so adorable.

Fest: RS Games 2017: Team Sirius

Summary: A few weeks before the start of the next figure skating season, Sirius receives word that his parents have kicked the bucket. He promptly travels back to England for no good reason at all, exasperated husband in tow.

Comments: A wonderful, beautiful story featuring more of the Black brothers bond that we all love. I absolutely adore seeing more of Regulus. The magic figure skating was an incredibly interesting and unique idea, and I feel like I don’t often get to to see a married and blissful Remus and Sirius. The artwork was gorgeous, also. An all around brilliant fic (sidenote: Yulia wins the best side character ever award). <3

Sirius was in love. Granted, he was always in love, but he was maybe a little bit more in love right now than usual. "I love you," he said, fervently.

"I know." Remus looked up, smug smile and all. "But please, go on."

"Shut up." Sirius kissed him. His husband was the best husband. Sirius read the letter again, then realised he'd forgotten one thing in all of this. "Oh, I should talk to Yulia—"

"She's coming over tomorrow," Remus said. "We are picking her up at St. Pancras at eight."

"Marry me," Sirius said. "Again."

Summary: When Lily and Marlene decide to make a video in response to Israel's banned book about a Jewish and Arab romance, they don't realise what wheels they're setting into motion. Artist Sirius Black reluctantly agrees to participate in the video experiment, having no idea he's on the path to finding love in the most unexpected place.

Comments: Such a great fic, with lots of diversity. There are characters who are Jewish, Israeli, Muslim, trans, genderfluid, ace, pan, blind. It’s interesting to read a fic that discusses religion; I can’t even think of another fic where religion plays an important part. I really like how much Regulus was included in this fic, too; he needs more love. I’m honestly surprised this is the first fic I’ve read based off of this type of video; it seems like the perfect set-up for romance.
