grew up in a very traditional italian family who believed in the “it takes a village” concept, matt was used to neighbors being at their house until the day his parents died. his parents also didn’t die a couple, they divorced when matt was seventeen but lived together in harmony as single people until their days on earth were done.
in college, matt married super young, dropped out after he put a ring on it and they lived happily together thinking that was what they wanted. matt got into construction and eventually took over the business once the owner decided to retire. he actually built the house he and his wife lived in so he is very attached to the house and probably will never sell it. at age 32, his wife and him got divorced after deciding that they really had no romantic feelings for each other, but remaining incredibly close friends.
currently involved in a messy romance plot with his neighbor who’s cat won’t leave him alone because he shared his fish one time and he’s now paying for it.
likes black coffee and hates starbucks, he will go on a rant about how stupid starbucks is when you can brew your own coffee at home or at worst, go to the gas station. he’s a simple minded guy who likes to come home from work, take four hour showers and drink a beer whilst watching cooking shows or home building shows. he enjoys yelling at the television when people are building homes wrong and feels a sense of satisfaction even though they can’t hear him. has no idea when a girl is flirting with him and is oblivious the everything besides what’s in front of him, though he lies and calls himself observant.
needed: an ex wife best friend who married matt super young until they mutually just drifted. she’s currently coaching him on his own dating life as she can tell luna is into him but he can’t tell. she still gets invited to his little get togethers he throws and they some times get caught up in stories they have of each other but they’re currently working on remembering they no longer are a couple. there may or may not be a kid between them but that will depend on the person who takes her
