I’m doing a gift exchange where you bring three of something and I am just so excited to have ended up choosing these coasters to make! Each one takes just 6 charm squares and a scrap of batting and they are so fast to sew (you just go around the square then flip them inside out to hide the raw edges) but they look very impressive and are reversible.

I made each set from a pack of charm squares (ordered from jellyollfabric.net, their prices are unbeatable) and I’m hoping my choices fit the “fairy universal appeal” niche since anyone could be receiving them. Either way, I love them.

I thought I’d share the progress of my creation so far from a birthday gift. I’ve turned some Kaffe Fassett 5” squares from Freespirit Fabrics into disappearing 4 squares and then bought some more fabric by Freespirit to frame the blocks which will eventually end up a lap quilt. It’s my second quilt that I’ve ever made. And I’m dead proud of it so far. Although it is a little too bright! 😎😎😎

I managed to finish something. It is just a baby quilt. My friend Lynn gave me this fabric. It was simple and easy to put together. I quilted this on my domestic, since I am not really able to use my longarm at the moment. I am out of practice, but it is a simple meandering so no big deal.
