Inspired by stephwsc and abhishekdekate to try my luck with Secret Squirrel Food's tutorial on avocado roses. First one was a success then I got too confident and messed up the second and third tries. I managed to be more patient for my last avocado half and turned out good enough! Total avocado casualties: 1. Guess it's avocado toast for brunch today! Happy Monday, everyone!
Happy Friday! Happy 4th of July weekend! My very talented husband (@verkgo) grilled every vegetable in sight - baby eggplant, Vidalia onion, corn on the cob, fennel, zucchini, asparagus, baby peppers and portobello mushroom caps -all with olive oil, salt and pepper. All went on a bed of arugula and topped with goat cheese and a thick balsamic drizzle (not shown here). Look at those grill marks!
