Wood Burning Art Cool
Now that Mother’s Day is over, our next concentration is Father’s Day and Graduation. This frame really can work for a holiday like Father’s Day or celebrations like Graduation or Birthdays. This DIY project is super easy and an affordable gift for a loved one.
The frame is from the dollar store and the pennies are from my wallet and savings jar. The only other thing I needed was a hot glue gun. You can use one of the printables below or have your kids make a special poster for the frame.
For the penny frame, I used a hot glue gun to glue the initial row of pennies then staggered the top row to give it a unique look. You can replace the pennies with nuts and bolts, golf tees or something else related to Dad’s hobbies.

With the holidays and this baby fast approaching, I have been trying to figure out a cute gift to give my high risk nurses. I wanted this gift to be extra special because they have been so amazing to myself and Baby Evelynne throughout my entire pregnancy. I don’t know what I would do without them.
I have thought about lots of different gifts but I wanted it to be something that they could use the whole year. At the dollar store, I found cute sparkly plastic tumblers and came up with the idea of painting something nurse related on the tumbler then fill the tumbler with another handmade gift.
I found a cute stethoscope picture, printed it out as my guide and painted it on the tumbler. I filled the cup with a messy bun hat that I made for the upcoming, cold Winter season. Super Easy and you can pick any quote or design to make it unique to the person you are making a gift for.
Supplies:
Plastic or Glass Tumbler
Acrylic Paint
Mod Podge or another sealant
Paint Brush
Design you want to paint
Directions:
Clean the tumbler and throughly dry
Place the design inside the cup to follow as a guide
Paint the design. I did 3 layers to build up the color but allow the paint to dry between layers.
Place 2 coats of sealant (Mod Podge) over your design. I used a gloss sealant to create a shiny design.
Fill your tumbler with candy or another special gift.

This Teach Me Tuesday is so easy and cute and best of all…. kid friendly! This cute ghost windsock is created from an old plastic container, paint, string, tape and toilet paper! I used a leftover chinese container from our take-out last week. I love to keep these containers for all kinds of diy projects and what a better way to use one but to have it be the center of this project!
My original idea was to poke a hole through the top of the container to string the string but the plastic is not flexible enough and cracked the top so my suggestion is to just use tape. Plus using tape makes this 100% kid friendly! So get an old container, paint, toilet paper, string and tape to make your own Ghost Windsock!
Danyella had alot of fun making her ghost though the wind kicked up when she was drying it outside which ended up with grass and smudge-marks on it. I told her that it just gave her ghost some character. Here is Danyella’s Finished Ghost:

Beach Day Picture Frame
Beach Day Picture Frame
Our favorite part about the summer are the beach days. We collected so many shells this last trip to the ocean that I wanted to do a beach craft with the girls. We made beach themed picture frames. I bought the wood frame from Michaels for $1 and the little wood crab was $.29. So this little project basically cost me under $2. What you need: 1 wood frame 1 wood crab google eyes (totally optional…

Rosette Book Wreath
DIY Rosette Book Wreath
So I recently realized that I haven’t done any crafts with old used books in awhile. It’s been so long that my huge stack of crafting books were beginning to look a little sad. To remedy that problem I decided to make this Rosette Book Wreath!
Now if you are one of those people who can’t imagine ripping a part a book believe me I know where you are coming from – I use to feel the same way.…
