Cheetara: Feline Heart by Jade Gretz
Cheetara, her lithe form clad in the familiar golden and crimson attire, navigated the cluttered interior of the Royal Archives with a practiced eye. Dust motes danced in the filtered sunlight filtering through high, arched windows, illuminating countless scrolls and artifacts bathed in the patina of ages.
Her search led her to a hidden alcove, a forgotten corner where relics deemed too bizarre or unsettling were relegated. Here, nestled amongst tarnished trophies and chipped idols, stood a peculiar mirror. Its surface, unlike any reflective plane Cheetara had ever seen, shimmered with a milky luminescence, its edges fringed with swirling mist.
Legends whispered of the Mirror of Reflections, a magical artifact said to unveil alternate realities, a glimpse into paths not taken. Curiosity, a potent elixir always bubbling within Cheetara, warred with a flicker of apprehension. Was she truly prepared to confront the 'what ifs' of her life?
Taking a deep breath, Cheetara extended a tentative hand towards the mirror. As her fingertips brushed the cool surface, a jolt of energy surged through her. The milky luminescence intensified, swirling and coalescing into a scene that unfolded before her like a living tapestry.
She found herself staring at a bustling marketplace, its vibrant colors and cacophony of sounds a stark contrast to the hushed tones of the Royal Archives. But what truly stole her breath away was the sight of herself, not clad in the regal attire of a Thunderan warrior, but in the simple robes of a scholar.
This alternate Cheetara browsed a stall laden with scrolls, a look of deep concentration etching lines on her youthful face. It was a life dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, a path Cheetara had almost chosen before fate, and the intervention of Lion-O, had steered her towards the warrior's path.
A pang of longing, a whisper of 'what could have been' twisted in Cheetata's gut. Would this Cheetara be happier, more fulfilled? THE THUNDERCATS: Someone ask me how I would draw Thundcats for an animated show after they disagreed with the new shows look. I have yet to see the new look but I did want to draw these guys up for fun. It's been a Minute. Just did a combo of the old 80's look, the one from 2011 and some shyt I made up.
