sometimes in life we get really really lucky. we meet someone that completely takes us by surprise, ruins all of our plans & shakes us to our core. all of it in the absolute best ways possible. they come in and open up the spaces of your heart you had just written in your journal that you couldn’t fathom ever opening up again.
i think this can come in friends & sometimes, if you’re extra lucky, in something more. i got that. i tried so hard to fight it because he screwed up every calculated plan I had for myself. but he was every single thing my heart needed & more.
he got me to be open to my roots again. if i’m being honest, I have known for over 10 years that I wasn’t suppose to stay in idaho. i knew where i was suppose to go. he helped me reconnect to those dreams & gave me courage to live them, & he has no idea.
i think when you find that, someone who has a soul that’s made of the same thing yours is, it’s rare. you just know. you can’t explain it & it doesn’t make any sense at all. but you just know. they were meant to find you & they’ll find their way back.
