Tara Jollibee tayo
For #FilAmHistoryMonth and #Inktober I thought I’d learn about Philippine mythology using the #Engkantober prompts @malamaya.Noel on Instagram put together a few years back! Tabi tabi po Duwende 🍗
Otherwise known in English as a Dwarf, Goblin, or Gnome. The little guys who are generally helpful and connected to the earth. This Duwende I based off a garden gnome... if it wore a chickenjoy salakot! I'd gone to Jollibee that day and had an epiphany about the critter who protects the chickenjoy and who eats all the peach mango pies before the customers get there!
My Italian ancestors screamed from below (yes, below, they were terrible people) as I found Flavortown at Jollibee. Sugar doesn't go in spaghetti sauce. Neither does ham, and certainly not sliced hot dogs. I know this. This is what I was taught. Nothing about Filipino spaghetti should work, and yet... I'd take that sweet meaty goodness over marinara any day of the week.

We're having a #Jollibee #Chickenjoy fried chicken and rice w/ gravy on top as our delicious dinner. Mmmm!🍗🍚🍴😋
It’s almost here!
Jollibee, the beloved Filipino fast food chain that sells some of the best fried chicken in the world, is putting the finishing touches on their first Manhattan outpost, located on 8th Ave. and 39th St., right below Port Authority.
This shop has been a long time coming, but the signage is now up and I’m assured their doors will be open in the very near future.
More details as I have them...
