Chireru Verses Space Godzilla (2006 compared to 2023)
This'll be the last Shura drawing for a while, as I want to get on the bandwagon on drawing my more mainstreamed Chitose Gen continuity characters, such as Eva, Chireru and Ryu. This time, I did a set of aged up Shura drawings, including human and Semi-anthromorphic forms. And yes, one is actually a Bleach crossover variant. Enjoy!
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Chireru Amakuni
Originally part of a comic anthology commission by Tommo2304, I did a color segment as a way to celebrate Bleach Blood War anime. This scene is where Chireru unleashes his signature base form attack, the Espada Bombarda, against Mask De Masculine during the Second Invasion. Bleach Crossover Lore: The self-proclaimed strongest Non-Quincy, Non-Fullbring human within the World of the Living, Kisuke Urahara recruits him to aid in the struggle against the Wandenreich, sending him and an Arrancar of unknown renown ahead to help the Shinigami combat the Sternritter. Chireru's first (and only known) fight thus far was against Mask De Masculine, who defeated Renji before he unleashed his renewed Bankai (Alternate Universe). About Chireru: Like the Quincy, Chireru hails from a tribe of humans nearing extinction. Hunted by other humans in time's past (including Quincies) rather than having come into conflict with the Gotei 13, he comes from a long line of spirit mediums that fuse with spiritual entities to enhance their power, possessing a potent resistance to poisons and sicknesses. While Shinigami have Bankai and Quincy possess Vollstandig, Chireru's people have Reikai No Jutsu, or the 'art of spiritual release'. Unlike a Zanpakuto, which has two stages, Shikai and Bankai, Reikai No Jutsu has four stages, with the fourth stage rivaling Bankai level. Chireru himself has Captain class power, and possessing a power relic, the holy blade Kusanagi-No-Tsuguri. Powerful, and passed down the Amakuni lineage, it has similar properties to a Zanpakuto in that it can cleanse Hollows. Combat Match-ups: I've decided to make a list of the top three best (and worst) combat match ups Chireru has against Captain Class Shinigami, Espada Class Arrancar and Sternritter Class Quincy. Many of these are close calls, but a few a rather one sided (in the case of Chireru's worst combat match ups. He's tough but definitely not OP in any sense, he certainly wouldn't walk away unscathed in any of these fights. In regards of Shinigami, death's not on the table, while Quincies and Arrancar are true adversaries that, if Chireru were fighting them for the Soul Society's sake, could mean death's a possibility. I'm excluding certain individuals (Zero Squad, Genryusai Yamamoto, Aizen, Baraggan Louisenbairn and Yhwach), there is ZERO chance Chireru can win against any of these individuals and I am not going to entertain the thought otherwise. Top Three Best Captain Match Ups: 1) Soi Fon/Sui-Feng: If we are evaluating fight based on Sui-Feng being to her nature as an Assassin, she'd absolutely murder Chireru in his sleep, and sleep like a baby afterwards. However, this is more fair fight scenario. First off, his hand-to-hand combat skills and speed are parallel to Sui's own, so in this regard they are evenly matched. Its their other powers that change the game. Mukyo Shunko OR her Bankai verses Chireru's Fourth Stage Reikai No Jutsu (commonly known as ShikonChireru). Soooo, Chireru's combat form's not as powerful as MS, but its definitely faster so he can chip at the stamina fighting like that. And with her Bankai, It turns into a projectile fight, her Bankai and his most powerful attack in that form cancel each other out. Chireru's only advantage is being able to use his lesser Reikai No Jutsu forms as a defense mechanism. In this case he'd stalemate her. It helps that he's not an enemy to Shinigami. 2)Kensei Muguruma: Similiar to Sui-Feng, his close quarters fighting style more of a match to Chireru's own style. Not to mention their personalities in combat are mismatches. Kensei is quick to anger and aggression while Chireru's calm and composed except for adversaries that can get under his skin (scientists and master manipulators), and the fact is that as a person Kensei is VERY straightforward and serious, to the point where Chireru's aloft, casual persona could irk him and even catch him off balance. Kensei's Bankai is dangerous, true but against Chireru's Fourth Reikai No Jutsu form, this would turn into free for all Brawl where Amakuni's stamina can very much outlast Muguruma's. These two would probably go at it with each encounter, having sort of a frienemy relationship. 3) Byakuya Kuchiki: Okay, to be fair, he is only listed because all the other Captain's have considerable advantages over Chireru that would allow him to defeat him. And statistically, Byakuya is so well rounded that he would be a difficult opponent for Chireru. That being said, there is ONE reason Chireru would match well against Kuchiki and that is Byakuya's approach to battle. His belief of battles having a code of conduct is akin to Chireru's own. Byakuya is shown to initially have difficulty fighting people (like As Nodt and Tsukishima) who flip the script on the conduct of battle, requiring him to rethink his tactic. However, with Chireru that wouldn't be the case. Both have a stout belief in preparedness in the heat of battle, and the two of them would fight a straight laced fight. This works out in Chireru's favor because even if he is defeated, he could earn Byakuya's grudging admiration. Top Three Worst Captain Match Ups: 1) The Kenpachi's: Any Kenpachi is a poor match up for Chireru. Each one's held the title of Strongest Soul Reaper and possess some sort of strength or ability that would kick his ass. This doesn't even need full throtle analysis but here's a small example. Chireru V Kenpachi Zaraki. He'd do well against him with his eyepatch. And with it off Chireru could power up. But once he gets elated to use Shikai...Chireru can maybe last a while in his ShikonChireru form though ultimately...no dice. Its not a fight he could win. 2) Mayuri Kurotsuchi Here's a match made in hell for Chireru. Firstly, he has an innate fear of scientists. And undoubtly Chireru would be a goldmine of experimentation for Mayuri. Especially once he discovers Chireru's natural resistance to poisons when he utilizes his Shikai. Between that, that mechanism built into his Zanpakuto to intercept incoming sword strikes and an adaptive modified Bankai, there is no winning scenario for Chireru here. 3) Shinji Hirako I thought of adding Kisuke Urahara, though in the parallel universe where Chireru exists in Bleach Verse, Kisuke and Chireru have a friendly relationship, with Chireru being a part time employee for his shop in peacetime. Soooo, here's number three for Chireru's worst match...Shinji. Outside of combat, they'd be at each other throats and making snide jokes toward each other. In combat, it'll be an dance of blades and witty banter, but once Shinji decides on using Shikai this'll turn into a shit show for Chireru. One of his abilities, Shingan, can 'tag' souls upon eye contact, allowing for him to perceive that soul with 360 degree scope of vision and keep up with those capable of moving at ultra high speeds (One of his big advantages against the likes of Sui-Feng and Byakuya). However, this ability is very much used against him against Sakanade. He wouldn't even be able to utilize any Reikai No Jutsu forms, as he'd more than likely just surrender against Shinji here. Top Three Best Espada Match Ups: 1) Coyote Stark Not gonna lie, this isn't a fight. If we are putting actually combat on the table Coyote and Chireru wouldn't be able to take each other seriously. Stark's laziness works in favor of this match up. There's no real fight, just two lounging idiots. 2) Nnoitra Gilga I know I covered how any Kenpachi would be a poor match up against Chireru, but while Nnoitra is basically the Kenpachi Espada the comparison is just that. A comparison. Chireru at his full power can beat Gilga at his full power, but it would be a close back and forth between starting at evenly matched, then Chireru releases his third Reikai No Jutsu to gain an advantage over Nnoitra, and he regains the advantage with Resurrecion. It ends with Chireru in his ultimate form to land a decisive blow to the Espada. 3)Aaroniero Arruruerie Well, he is the weakest of the Espada, and his biggest advantage over Rukia alone was using Kaien to fuck with her mind. He has no such insights on Chireru. This is simply and definitively be a slaughter, as Chireru would find Aaroniero grotesque. Top Three Worst Espada Match Ups: 1)Szayelaporro Granz Regardless if Szayelaporro has time to analysis Chireru or not, he's intellect and instability are a dangerous pair for Chireru to face off against. Between that and Granz unique and diverse abilities of his Resurrecion he would not fare well against him. 2)Ulquiorra Cifer Easily the most prolific and dangerous Espada, this is another poor match for Chireru. Base form vs Base form end's in Ulquiorra's favor. Third Reikai No Jutsu Vs Resurrecion end's in Ulquiorra's favor and Shikonchireru Verses Segunda Etapa stalemate until Chireru's stamina runs dry. Ulquiorra's Resurrecions don't seem to be burdened by time limits or stamina reserves. 3)Tier Harribel The Shark Queen Arrancar of Sacrifice. As Tres Espada, she's absolutely capable of fighting at Ulquiorra's level or stronger. Plus, she is cunning and tactical so she can observe and plan around Chireru's fighting style. And that's all without factoring in if Chireru fucks with her Fraccion's. All in all, a poor match up for him.
Top Three Best Sternritter Match Ups: 1)Mask De Masculine Getting powered up through cheers is undoubtedly obnoxious. However, its not outside Chireru's ability to handle. Mask's Vollständig form against Chireru's Shikonchireru form would become a brawl worthy of MMA or Wrestlemania. Now, if this fight had no audience, Chireru would win by default. However, when the fate of the world's at stake and there's a crowd, sadly he'll showboat. Chireru will subconsciously hold back until he knows he has the attention of everyone watching him, and while that will give Mask plenty of openings, it'll ultimate just the long way around towards his defeat. 2)Meninas McAllon Meninas is powerful. That being said, her whole gimmick is pure superhuman strength. Waaaay more is needed to be fight someone like Chireru. 3)Jerome Guizbatt This EFF-ing guy. All he can do is produce sonic soundwaves with his big ape-like body. I don't even think Chireru needs any forms other than base form. Still, he's a Sternritter, so he's legitable to be on this list. Top Three Worst Sternritter Match Ups: 1)Askin Nakk Le Vaar This match up is picky in my book. Kisuke aside, Chireru stands a waaaaaaaaaaaay better chance against Askin than most Captains. His impressive tolerance for poisons in a majority of forms would make it difficult to calculate Chireru's lethal dose in the short term. Now, while fighting Askin outside his Vollstandig, Chireru has five attacks before Askin builds an Immunity to all of Chireru's powers (1 attack in base form, and 4 attacks for each of his Reikai No Jutsu forms, as each attack changes the nature of his Reiatsu ever so slightly). Granted, if Chireru hits Askin point blank in his ultimate form after being hit 4 times, that COULD kill Askin. That being said, Deathdealing is not Askin's only power. He is a Quincy after all, he has access to Blut (even if he's never shown using it). Not only that, he has incedible intellect, not quite Kisuke intellect but...in the seconds between Chireru's four attacks prior to his final attack, he could pick up on how dangerous Chireru is. Likely not to take anything to chance, Askin probably would blend Deathdealing with Blut to protect himself from that last, lethal attack Chireru would unleash. After that, his immunity build up would heal, protect and allow him to counter ALL of Chireru's attacks at this point without even NEEDING to resort to Vollstandig. 2)Gerard Valkyrie/Jugram Haschwalth Chireru stands no chance against either of these Sternritters. Why is there a two for one? Its a tie. Because both of them have Schrifts that would not only render Chireru's powers irrelevant, but in some form turn the damage he inflicts them against him in some way. Regardless if it is Jugram redressing the Balance, or Gerard using the power of Miracles to simply power up beyond Chireru's ability to deal with, this is no man's land for my Original Character. 3)Gremmy Thoumeaux Of course Gremmy makes this list. Anyone who can manipulate imagination into reality AND hold their own with Kenpachi Zaraki is definitely someone whose going to have a natural advantage over Chireru. Nothing really needing a drawn out explaination. What do you all think of my analysis? I would like questions and opinions! **Bleach by everyone's favorite mangaka, Tite Kubo ***Original Art commission by Tommo2304, resident Bleach expert Anime-style color edit by me.
Birth of the Chimera Shura: Frustrated at her growth rate, Shura looked to her demonic heritage to work towards unlocking her potential as soon as possible, learning the ancient language of Sumerian and hunted down an demon tome known as the Necronomicon, (yes THAT Necronomicon). Using her Susano’O power as a source of power to tap Edritch Magic, she utilizes that power to keep the evils of the book at bay long enough to make a contract with it, as well as a wager. Withstand 24 hours of her demon heritage unleashed and unhinged without succumbing to it, and the Necronomicon would draw out her full potential. Of course, this was not an easy task. The demon manifestation of the book was devious, and put several obstacles in her path. However, all throughout Shura remained true to herself...and Necronomicon submitted, bestowing her all of her power from within herself.
ShikonArts and the OmegaVerse of Madness
(Definitely inspired by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) Chireru Amakuni and Eva Shinto Amakuni are forced to face off against malicious variants of themselves as they invade their prime universe. Aided by the interdimensional Guardian of the Chitose Gen Omegaverse ShikonArts, they successfully repel the invaders one by one. Meanwhile, Shura Amakuni is sought out be a redeemed variant of Kuvira, the Great Uniter, to aid in unraveling a conspiracy concerning a triumvirate seeking to overthrew and supplant the illuminati as the dominant governing body throughout the multiverse. All of the threats suggest that a shadowy menace to be the key to all of the forces, manipulating double agents working for him so that he may rule over all life and destroy the Pantheons of Deities protecting multiversal civilization as we know it. Cast: Chireru Amakuni and variants, Eva Shinto Amakuni and variants, Shura Amakuni, Kuvira (Hailing from the Legend of Korra continuity), Regime Superman (Hailing from Injustice DC continuity), Dark Raiden (Hailing from MK 11 Future continuity), AU Lord Drakkon (A variant of Tommy Oliver who becomes the Mighty Morphin Avenger after the Prime reality Lord Drakkon kills his son), AU Sinister Maharana (An OC whose more powerful than its original counterpart who has slain Zeus and Susano’O, ensnaring numerous universes, has a variant of Eva Shinto’s Alter ego under his command and is the ultimate villian of the plot. I do not own this character and am merely paying tribute to the RPer whom portrays the primary version.)
Non LoK-OC Shura, after spiritual training with her father Chireru in a transformed state. Shura in this form calls herself ‘Shura of the Crimson Wind’
Her combat outfit is somewhat inspired by her Legend of Korra verse variation.
