Savor the decadent, chocolate-flavored goodness of Brownie Pie, also called Chocolate Chess Pie. This rich dessert is the ideal fusion of pie and brownie, making it a delightful treat for chocolate enthusiasts.
Ingredients: 1 unbaked pie crust. 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter. 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped. 1 cup granulated sugar. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup chopped pecans optional. Whipped cream for serving optional.
Instructions: Set the oven temperature to 175C 350F. The unbaked pie crust should be put in a 9-inch pie dish and left alone. Melt the unsalted butter and unsweetened chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Take it off the heat and allow it to cool a little. Whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar in a mixing bowl. Blend thoroughly. To the sugar and egg mixture, add the melted chocolate mixture. Mix thoroughly until fully incorporated. Stir in the salt, all-purpose flour, and unsweetened cocoa powder. Blend the batter until it's smooth. Stir the chopped pecans into the batter, if desired. Fill the prepared pie crust with the chocolate batter. The pie should be baked for 30 to 35 minutes in a preheated oven, or until it is set but has some give in the center. After taking the pie out of the oven, let it cool fully on a wire rack. Before serving, chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least two hours after it has cooled. If preferred, top Chocolate Chess Pie slices with whipped cream. Savor the delectable Brownie Pie!
