I almost fainted in a church today in front of a whole crowd, that’s fun. Anyway, how are you all doing?
you will be found from dear evan hansen (we’ve been way too out of touch da dadada da) and hamilton’s my shot (hey yo i’m just like my country) have been ruined for me bc we sang them in chorus

We were singing Seal Lullaby tonight and I managed to distract my entire choir and MD (I sing in a ladies choir) by showing them a picture of Eric Whitacre. Oops?

When Your Choir Director Betrays You
I suddenly, out of nowhere, got remad about something that happened like three years ago in my high school choir. I am a low alto, my choir director would have me help the guys section if they needed it. That being said, for some goddamn reason she decided that she would move me over to the soprano 1 part for one of our songs. I thought she was joking and I started laughing. After I realized she wasn’t joking I stared at her in horror. I stopped talking in my other classes just so I could save my voice while we sang that piece.
“Sopranos one of you is flat, try to fix it please.” I wonder the FUCK WHY!
I still have nightmares about this to this day.
Me: The concert is over, I can finally get these songs out of my head!
My brain: =)

Me: I give up.
Choir Practice Gothic
You ask for your pitch. The pitch is played. You have the pitch. The song starts and you forget your pitch. You ask for your pitch.
The speaker is right behind you. The music turns on and you jump. The music is soft. Barely a sound.
You are singing the harmony. The song starts and your group is singing melody. You were only ever singing melody.
There are tryouts for a solo. The girl who gets up has the best voice you’ve ever heard. Everyone claps and she sits down. The next girl has the best voice you’ve ever heard.
The bass notes are so low you can hardly hear them. You turn to comment on it to your friend. They say that there are no bass singers. There never were.
Stop talking the director says. We sing the song. It stops and there is talking in the back of the room.
We finished this song last practice. It begins. You’ve never heard this song before.
