(1/2) horror story: this year we did a workshop of Drop Dead Juliet in my theatre1 class and our Romeo was actively trying to get himself kicked off the cast (even though that would never happen), our Shakespeare moved away without telling anyone, our Friar Lawrence quit the day before the performance and just didn't show up to class for the rest of the semester, and no one memorized any of their lines. during the performance, we would skip pages at a time because no one could remember and

(2/2) I was practically screaming everyone's lines from the wings as I followed along in the script because I had been given a tiny part and was only onstage for two scenes. it was pretty horrible and i think my drama teacher is (1) deciding not to teach drama anymore and (2) making sure the next drama teacher doesn't do a workshop. ugh -.-
