Really late to the party but

I just watch Whiplash for the first time and it is now like top ten on my movie list. I’ve never been on the edge of my seat like this movie made me. I legit cried watching this.

And I can’t believe this started as a short film.

I love montage scenes in movies so so fucking much, I can’t really put my finger on it. Whatever type of montage it is usually produces the best music and I love getting to know characters without them having to say anything? You get the body language, what they do, how they act - bonding in a quick manner but still in a way where a good amount of time passed.
