okay but like... I don't think I've ever seen cisbent Queen Bee or fox!Alya? If some of you were looking for new ways to draw those two, boy... :3c
Hnng this is really bad but I fell asleep last night and I didn’t want to redo this mess so aaaa
@beefnerdles Happy bday you goof, have a messy fem!binfe sketch that you probably don’t want. It’s transparent :D
so I think there should be a list of great biracial fancasts for male!Marinette. Here, I’ll start:
Ryan Potter
Jonathan Raggett
Isaac Jin Solstein
hii so this might be a weird ask, but i know you had reblogged genderbend fanart of marinette and adrien and I've searched for a particular one for too long now, maybe you can help?? mari was like walking/running with his sketchbooks to his chest, the clothes were the same and dear lord it was so cute i'm gonna die a little if it can't be found :(
Sorry, I don’t know the one you’re talking about :( If I do find it, it’ll end up in my cisbent tag! Maybe you should look through there and see if you can recognize the art style.
Whoops sorry about the cisbent thing, but that is a legitimate reasoning I've never actually heard of before! Thanks for opening my eyes to that, and with the names, my friends and I were just messing around so don't expect them to be too good. We have Marinette as Marion, Adrien as Audrey (though I love yours), Nino as Nina (much creativity), Alya as Ale, Chloe as Clayton, Kim as Kimmy, Nathanael is Natalie, Max is just basic Maxine, Sabrina= Sabastian, Rose= Ross and Juleka is Jake :3
You’re welcome, I know I can’t force my followers to change but I hope I can open up your minds :)
lol at least “Nina” is a name I’ve heard before. I agree with Nathalie, Maxine (very French), Sebastian, Ross and Jake (lol I’ve never heard the name Juleka before). I have to wonder if Alya couldn’t have a better male name? How about Alan? And I think I’ve said before that my headcanon is that Kim is his last name, so it wouldn’t change, though people calling her “Kimmy” would be cute :3
As for Marion, I’ve heard that it’s a female name, so I’ve kind of steered away from it haha. And Audrey is a cute name, though for these characters I tend to use French names - have you heard the name “Aurélie”? A pretty French girl name that derives from “gold” :3
Now that I’ve seen last week’s episode of Le Ranch tho, maybe we could Frenchify Clayton a bit more with the name “Clément”? I might need a while to think of Frenchier versions of Ross and Jake, but I do like how close those two sound.
Do you ever think of the genderswap miraculous names? I have fallen in love with mine if you'd like to hear em'
I always love to hear!! I prefer “Adrienne” because easy French female name but Marinette is difficult to masculinize, I think “Marin” or “Marcel” have been some attempts but you probably have a better idea :)
No one’s asked but I feel like it needs to explained so I’m just gonna say it now that it’s relevant: I use the phrase “cisbent” for my tag portraying instances where characters like Marinette present as male and characters like Adrien present as female. This is because I’ve heard that the terms “genderbend” or “genderswap” are transphobic, and kind of erases the fact that those who present as (eg.) male could have a vagina, etc. It keeps trans headcanons (shoutout to trans!Adrien) valid, because “cisbent” merely acknowledges that their *cis* gender has changed, as their parts are not actually relevant to their gender identity.
can you explain me what cis!bent is? and some examples? bc i did research but i still don't understad
Firstly the meaning of cis, or the full term cisgender, means that you identify with the gender that you were assigned with at birth. For example, you were assigned as male at birth and identify as a male. Trans or transgender is where you do not identify with the gender you were assigned with and identify as the other gender in the binary. For example, you were assigned as a male at birth but you identify as female.
From my understanding, cisbent means that the character’s gender has been changed to the other binary gender for this thread. (I say binary because there are other genders under the umbrella term non-binary such as genderfluid, bigender, demigirl, demi boy etc.)
An example of a cisbent would be say I had a cisfemale character with a female FC called Alexandra. A cisbend of this character would be making Alexandra cismale with a male FC and I may change her name to Brandon, however, I do not know if changing the character’s name is common practise.
I would like to point out that cisbent is not a good term to use and you should use cis!boy[character] or cis!girl[character]. For example, if I use Alexandra again, I would say Brandon is cis!boyAlexandra.
