I've been playing this Subway Builder game all last night and this morning and it's a pretty fun game if you're a transit nerd. I can't go into all of the details but you can play in sandbox or normal (budget) mode and you can build subways, at-grade or elevated (although on the map you're going to get whats more like a subway map UI). You can build your routes, and apply your services and inter-line the services. There are only American cities available which i feel is ironic considering our lack of public transit for most of the country, but the ones they did choose at least do have public transit. I started off with Washington DC, and named all of my lines after Presidents:
This being the entire network--zoomed all the way out--you can really build on a huge map. You can use real-life stats in the game to show demand for ridership, by where people live and where people work.
Here's just some various zoomed in and out views
These being the usage of stations
These three views allowing you to see a more orthographic view of your city and network
This being a layover of usage of each station
There are some nifty layers you can turn on and off--this one being depth which comes in handy when you're needing to thread lines between others
I didn't show this in images but you can set up routes, add trains and even build quad rail stations. There's even a signaling layer that comes in handy when you get some issues. I accidentally built a few routes at the same elevation and now i'm cleaning up all of those intersections now.
From what i read on the developers website, this will come to steam, but currently only on their website. It's 30$ there, but when it gets to steam it will go to 40$
