Being creative, with intreats, while on social media is horrible because I'll just be watching YT, looking for some background noise while I play games, and then auto play will send my into a rabbit hole of military tech that I'll come out of with the inspiration to design a new missle based CIWS system in From The Depths, only for me to lose motivation when finding targets to test on, only to go back to YT and get inspired again, and yet I still can't test it.

R2-D2 goes to sea....

CORAL SEA (August 3, 2019) -- Navy Fire Controlmen conduct routine maintenance checks on a MK-15 Phalanx close-in weapons system (CIWS) mounted on the stern of United States Navy amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1).

CIWS provides self-defense against airborne threats such as incoming anti-ship missiles, drones and helicopters. It essentially throws a wall of metal up in front of an incoming threat....luring missiles off-course and/or destroying them in-flight, and establishing a deadly barrier to an incoming helicopter or drone.

USS Wasp (LHD 1) and her Amphibious Ready Group of escorts are deployed to the far reaches of the Western Pacific Ocean right now.

Cardin: *Is holding a pair of binoculars looking out into the Grimmlands* "I still don't see why we're stuck up here while Arc's off playing with his... what ever it was."

Russel: "Because Arc paid us a huge butt load of money to install these things-" *Gestures to a fifteen foot tall machine with six gun barrels extending from the lower section* "- along the wall. Said something about a revolution or something."

Cardin: *growls and points to where Dove and Sky were standing with cameras and a computer* "And what about that?"

Russel: "Did you really not listen to him give us the rundown?"

Cardin: "I tend to zone out when Arc talks so I kind of miss everything he says."

Russel: "Well the cameras is to film what ever is going to happen and the computer is to hack into Vale's emergency broadcast system to show everyone."

Cardin: "And what is gonna happen?"

Russel: "No clue."

*An explosion sounds from behind them as sirens and car alarms start going off*

Cardin: "How much do you wanna bet?"

Russel: "Please. I may be failing in a few classes but I'm not stupid." *Notices something in the Grimmlands* "And look. Grimm."

Cardin: "I swear, if this is some overly complicated kill Cardin plot I'm gonna haunt his ass." *Looks through the binoculars again* "Ah it seems as though every Grimm within ten miles is now charging towards the wall. What did Arc tell us to do again?"

Russel: "He said and I quote: 'If a big hoard of Grimm come charging at the wall. Press the big red button.'"

Cardin: *Looks down in front of him and sees the button* "That's it?" *Shrugs* "Here goes nothing." *Presses the button*

*Next to them the machine gears to life and the six barrels shift around before settling at facing the oncoming hoard. Further along the wall the dozens of other machines do the same*

Cardin: "Is something supposed to happ-"

The Machine: *BRRRRRRRRRRRRT BRRRRRT BRRRRRRT BRRRRRRRRRRRT*

Team CRDL: *Watches in amazement as thousands of Grimm are torn apart by the dozens of now operational gun emplacements*

Cardin: *drooling* "It's so beautiful..."
