it has been so stressful! between the big family of five having mange, two of the 'pregnant' moms not being pregnant (but were spayed), & robin (tiniest gal found in a parking lot) is bound to pop any day now... we've been all over the place.
we are so exhausted and tired just as we're sure just about every rescue and shelter worker is these days. hanging in there & still working on our usual stuff, new merch, commissions, vlogs, etc. but thank you for the patience & support!
you can help us save more lives & cover medical expenses with our rescue for all our fosters via our shop, patreon, or even just giving a share on whatever platform you catch us on. :-)
My goal hasn't been reached yet, and now I have stage 4 CKD. My eGFR is currently 27, when 3 months ago it was 42. Please help me move to a place in which I can get good treatment for my CKD.
Hi again, I go by Simon and sometimes Jonathan, he/they, etc.
I live in a deep red st… Emmily Pippin needs your support for Jonathan's Urge
I'm also immunocomromised, and wearing masks in public for my own safety has opened my husband and I up to being verbally harassed. We already are afraid of holding hands in public, but no matter how hard we try to avoid people, we still have to go shopping because having groceries delivered costs 2x as much 🤺
We already live paycheck to paycheck, im the only one who can work, I work 6 days a week, and the stress alone disables me after work. I'm constantly in pain, extremely dizzy and lightheaded, especially while working.
I have more details in the link about how a nazi truck tried to run me off the road and etc but this post is getting pretty long already ⛹️🏻♂️
It would mean the world to me if I can settle down in a blue state, with friends, and with better health coverage, instead of the deep red monstrosity called Missouri of where I am at now.

Osamu hesitates, “My kidneys have been failing me for a while now. I have chronic kidney disease.”
“When were you diagnosed?”
“Five years ago.” Osamu lets out a shaky breath, his gaze unable to meet yours.
“We’ve been together since your senior year and my junior year. And you didn’t trust me enough to tell me this?”
“I do.” Osamu pauses, finally meeting your gaze. “But I know ya would have never left abroad if I told ya.”
“You’re right. I wouldn’t have. I had so many options nearby; I could have stayed. But instead you let me leave, spending four years where it was difficult to see each other, and now when I’m finally here—” You choke on your tears.
Osamu stands up immediately, covering his mouth.
He runs towards the bathroom, closing the door behind him.
“Osamu!” You run behind him, persistently knocking on the door.
You can hear his gags from outside the bathroom. You can hear the pain.
“Baby.” You keep trying to open the door, but he’s locked it.
After a couple of minutes, you can hear the toilet flushing.
Osamu hesitantly opens the door, his face dripping with cold water.
You don’t say anything. You simply just pull him into a hug.
“Y/n…” he says, his voice just above a whisper.
“Shh,” you gently rub his back as his body naturally relaxes on yours. “We can talk about the rest later.”
“Please stay.”
“I will. Let’s get you to bed.” You lead Osamu into the bedroom. You help him change—you can feel the fatigue his body is in.
Once Osamu’s finally in bed, you can see the tears flowing down his face.
“I’m sorry. I should have told ya. I’m sorry.”
“You should have. But you’ll be okay. I promise.” You rub his cheek, humming a soft melody into his ears.
It doesn’t take long for Osamu to fall asleep.
You roam Osamu’s apartment.
You find Atsumu’s phone hidden in one of the kitchen drawers—but that’s the least of your concerns.
You tidy up as you go.
Finding sticky notes ***Time Difference: 2 hours. Class schedule: xxx*** written on them.
You softly chuckle, not realizing the tears running down your face.
“Babe?” Osamu says in a low voice.
You turn around. “What are you doing up?”
“My legs are killing me. I can’t sleep,” he looks at the floor.
You walk into the bedroom, gently pushing him onto the bed.
You lightly lather your hands in body oil, massaging his legs.
“Does this help?”
“Yeah.” Osamu nods, his head tilts back.
You bite your tongue, holding back all your anger. But looking at how weak he looks, you can’t blame him.
“You should have told me.” You mumble.
“I know. I’m sorry.”
You feel uncomfortable in the silence. All you could hear were the voices in your head.
“Is there another woman? Was there ever?” You spit out. You tried to ignore your thoughts that flooded your mind ever since the hospital receptionist thought you were Osamu’s fiancée.
“No.” He calmly replies.
“Then who has accompanied you to the hospital before?”
“No one. Why?” Osamu sits up straight.
“The receptionist asked if I was your fiancée.”
Osamu’s eyes slightly widen, panic filling them.
“Don’t lie to me.” You sniffle.
“No, Y/n. I haven’t been unfaithful, I swear.” He holds your hand—holding it tightly to keep you from leaving.
“Then why did she think you had a fiancée? You haven’t given me a ring.” You pull away. Your heart is begging for you to believe him.
“I—” Osamu stutters, unable to come up with an explanation.
“Is that why you didn’t tell me? So I wouldn’t find out about her?” You pull your hand away from his touch.
“No. No. There is no her. It’s just you. I swear.”
“Then answer my question!” You shout.
“Y/n. I love ya. I’ve been faithful. Please trust me.” Osamu says in a soft tone, his hands gently wiping your tears away.
“How can I? If all you’ve done is hide things from me. If you’ve been lying to me this whole time.”
Osamu can’t find an excuse this time.
You stand up, rushing towards the door.
Osamu runs, “Y/n!” He grabs your hand before you can open the door. “Please.” He pants.
“Don’t lie to me anymore. Tell me the truth. No matter how much it hurts.” You repeat.
“I can’t die with ya hating me.” He kneels down. “I’m not lying to ya when I say I went alone. I’ve never once thought about being unfaithful.”
“That still doesn’t answer my question. Why did she think I was your fiancée?”
“It must have been a mistake. You’re the only woman I love.”
“Don’t give me that bullshit. You’ve been there recently. I know that Atsumu hasn’t.”
“How do ya know that?”
“Because I went there with him today. Damn it! I had to go behind your back to figure it out.”
“Ya were with him.”
“Don’t try to turn this around on me, Osamu!”
“Ask Tsumu.”
“What?”
“He knows I haven’t been unfaithful.”
“He didn’t know you were sick; he could care less about your love life.”
Osamu stands up. “Ya can hate me for lyin’, but I’ve never thought about another woman. I only love ya.”
“I want to believe you so badly, Osamu.”
“Please do.”
“But I can’t.” You sigh.
Osamu pleads for your trust.
“I’ll keep my promise.” You walk over to the couch, stretching your body all over it.
“I’ll stay. Not because I believe you, but because I love you.” You mutter. Your heart is too weak to ever leave him–especially now, when he needs you most.
“I didn’t cheat on ya. I—” Osamu walks into the bedroom. You can hear him scrummaging through his drawers.
He walks out, his hands behind his back.
“I didn’t want to do it like this.” He pauses, his lips curling into a soft smile.
You sit up, not knowing what to expect next.
“I love ya, Y/n.” Osamu gets closer to you.
You stay silent.
“Will ya marry me?” Osamu kneels down on one knee, holding a red velvet box in his hand.
Kira photodump! Content warning for pet medical talk.
Kira has been diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease. To manage her CKD, my partner and I are starting by looking for prescription renal food she can tolerate, but there have been some complications along the way. A nasty reaction to a probiotic that was supposed to help her adjust to new food means we have to take a step back and return to her old food for now. She also got a UTI on top of everything else 😭

She has a small patch of white fur in the center of her chest, and sometimes her fur looks brown in the light. The info fliers are lavender with text and a couple photos of Kira. They explain that Kira has been diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease, resulting in additional costs for vet care. Three ways to support us as mentioned on the second flier include purchasing from Charlie's online shop, interacting with and sharing their posts, and joining their patreon. The rest of the post is all photos of Kira in various poses, sometimes looking beautiful and sometimes looking a little silly.
