Classes I’m taking in my first semester

Ok, I'm super excited bc my first year in university starts in a week. I'm studying chemistry and the classes I’m taking are:

• experimental chemistry

• anorganic chemistry

• physics

• maths

• exercises for math

• and I will have several hours in the laboratory

In total I have 29 hours per week (12 in the laboratory, which I'm super excited but also scared about...). Which classes are you taking this year (doesn’t matter whether it's school or uni). 😉

I don’t think I’ve ever done a formal post where I’ve told you what courses I’m enrolled in and the tags I’ll be using for each, so here you go! This is more for me so I can keep track of what I’m posting, but some of you may also find it helpful~

Classes I’m Taking Fall Quarter 2017

My entire schedule is filled up yet because I don’t know when all my discussion sections will be. In order to tie you over, here is a list of the classes I’m taking this quarter.

CS106B: This is a computer science class about programming abstractions in C++. I took this class last winter quarter, but I didn’t like the grade I got, so I’m retaking the class to get a better grade.

SymSys1: This is a required course for my intended major, Symbolic Systems. It’s an interdisciplinary major that is basically comparable to cognitive science. Right now we’re discussing the philosophy of the mind and I’m enjoying it so much. 

MUSIC123A: This is a music class on rhythmic composition. I really want to start composing my own music, so this is just taking me one step closer to my goal.

FilmStud4: This is an introductory course on film studies. If you follow me on my personal blog, you know that I love trying to analyze film and television shows. So it’s great that I get to take an entire course on something I’ve been trying to do since I was 13. I also hope it will help me make better YouTube videos as I plan to use what I learn and apply it to the films I make.

I feel like this quarter won’t be an easy one, but it’ll sure be one that I enjoy. FOr once, all the courses I’m taking I’m actually excited about and have always wanted to learn more about. If you have any questions about what these classes are like or anything at all, please feel free to ask.

Signed up for classes~

For once I got everything I want/need no problem. Which is good because... last semester. Part of me is tempted to add classes I don't need because this is my last chance to take them. And part of me realizes burdening myself unnecessarily my last semester would be pretty stupid. Especially when I still have to figure out what I'm doing after. You know, actually building a plan rather than running and hiding from my life.

For those of you who care I'm taking:

HUM 414 with Sara Judson MW 11:25am-12:35pm and F 11:25am-12:35pm

Sociology of Sex, Sexuality, and Desire with Bramlett MW 1:45-3pm

Community Service Internship for WGSS (M 3:15-5:45pm)

And Senior class for WGSS with Karin Peterson TR 3:10-4:25pm
