Imagine being a liberal woman, and the three vampires wanting to make you part of their family.
“Another visit from my favourite little family,” You smiled when you saw Louis, Lestat and Claudia come to approach you. They were some of the few who did so openly, while many others shunned you. See, you considered yourself to be a modern woman, though perhaps you were a bit ahead of your time. Your neighbours and community though, they considered you a harlot, a sinner. All because you were an educated woman, who wanted to educate others - particularly about sex. Not having it, no no, that was best left up to people to figure out on their own, but the actual information, the dangers, the pleasures, the safety, how to enjoy yourself, things that you regarded as important and wish someone had been open with you about when you were a girl of Claudia’s physical age.
“Bonsoir, mon cher,” Lestat said smoothly, taking your hand and kissed the top of it. You bowed your head, and he was soon replaced by Louis. Claudia though, she hugged you, getting close to your neck, making you chuckle and give her a little push away. Not that you could really stop her if you wanted to. But she was quick to disengage.
“Ahh, you sneaky little one,” You chided her playfully, smiling up to her fathers. Oh, you knew all about them. Perhaps too much about them. Their homosexual relationship. Their vampirism. The interracial relationship that most people would frown upon even if they were man and woman. But you were the only one in the city who didn’t think badly, who didn’t judge or look down their nose. You loved them like they were your own family, and wanted them, above all, to be happy.
They even eliminated a couple of your protesters for you, something neither of you acknowledged.
“So have you thought about our offer?” Louis asked, his hands atop of his cane, leaning on it slightly, the dark glasses hiding his eyes from you.
“Oui, have you?” Lestat echoed in that sophisticated, erotic way that he often spoke, leaning in close to you. As Louis often said, he had a way about him. A way that could charm God out of Heaven and the Devil out of Hell and get them to tango in New Orleans.
“Just a little more time, ma famille,” You said, knowing their patience was waiting. They wanted to turn you, make you a bigger part of their family. Your liberal thoughts enticed them, and they wanted to keep you. “I still have work to do in the daylight. But soon,” You stroked the side of Claudia’s head. “Mon petit, soon.”
authors note: barely canon compliant lol, wanted to write for claudia bc i barely see anything for her
you along with the other coven members were quite thrilled by louis and claudia. after all, it had been a while since you had crossed paths with vampires you’ve never met. for you, it had been a while experiencing anything or anyone new as an ancient. so safe to say, the pair of them intrigued you. however, it was claudia that intrigued you most. thankfully, she took equal interest in you. maybe because it was clear as day that both of you had been turned as teenagers.
you were only a year and some change older than claudia when you yourself were turned. and while the first few years were fine, eternity as a teenager ate away at you the same way it ate away at her. because of this, you two developed a deep connection. a connection that would become stronger than your connection to armand and the rest of the coven. you met someone that understood your unique struggle.
outside of being eternal teenagers, you two talked each others ears off about a lot of things. you’d ask her questions about her past in new orleans, and she’d ask you a myriad of questions about your travels throughout history. even though you had armand and claudia had louis, she was the first vampire to ever make you feel as light as she did. her smile was warm, her hair was beautiful, her eyes inviting. she made you feel safe, which was something you hadn’t felt in a while… safe. the way she made you feel made you want to give her the world.
even though claudia made you feel feelings you had to reacquaint yourself with, you unknowingly made her feel things she’s never felt before. you made her feel seen, made her feel like a priority, made her feel chosen… not even when she was a human did she feel like someone’s confident choice, but after decades, she finally found something with you that she never knew was missing. while you’d give her the world, she would burn the world if it meant that you’d always be with her.
once she trusted you enough, she told you the full truth about her time in new orleans. that she murdered lestat. her usually warm face and disposition turned cold with fear. fear that i would abandon her. fear that i would turn on her. i held her hand lovingly, rubbing her deep brown skin to calm her.
“i’m not mad at you, claudia. i never liked the bastard either.” you spoke softly, chuckling a little at her admiringly brazen nature.
“i… i lied. i know that’s against the coven but-“
“don’t justify yourself. you were smart to lie. these idiots praise him too much. and we never would have been able to know each other.” you spoke calmly, bringing her closer to you.
“what are we going to do?” claudia asked, soft and still visibly scared.
“we’ll have to leave soon.“ you responded calmly.
no coven, not even armand could stop you from your decision. when you realized you two were caught, you and claudia were already in london. you respected and treasured armand, but your heart lied with claudia. you don’t know how you survived centuries without her, but you know that you won’t go on spending the rest of eternity without her. your coven was claudia, and her coven was you.
IWTV Claudia x Child reader scene prompt/draft(not published)
Just your big sister trying to coerce you into some unknown mischief while papa and daddy are gone...
Enjoy
You were laying down alone in your papa's coffin when it was opened you looked up frowning at the light and your big sister. You curly your small body further into the top of the opened coffin, whining in displeasure.
"Don't get all sour on me now," she said ready to dismiss you displeasure but stoping and smiling in a friendly way.
"Frère," she called you brother in her sweetest voice, making you lose your skeptical ways.
You look more closely at her shyly wrapped up on your self and in your papa's green sheets you entertain the little girl, "What do you want."
"Nothing much... I just wanted to give your some help...", she puts her self next to you in the coffin her beautiful white dress forming a halo around her body."As you know Papan and Daddy are gon—"
"You ain't getting me out of the coffin," you interrupt sternly."Come on you really think you're supposed to wait and do nothing? You know if you listen to me you can really get all the attention in the world from them..."
More attention? The idea makes your heart leep with joy at the idea, you already got so much love and kisses from papa a daddy... Was it really possible to get more love than you already have?
I just finished watching Interview With the Vampire, and I had an idea for the very beginnings of the series.
Characters: Claudia, Louis, Lestat, Reader
Word count: 1,144
Warnings: Burns, torture, bloodlust, the loneliness of an immortal
The streets of New Orleans at night were not a great place for a teenager to be meandering alone. You were, however, more than capable of caring for yourself. You'd been doing it for countless years, and that's not just a figure of speech. You had been born in the late 1300s. After a terrible plague swept through your village, killing almost everyone, you had gained immortality and eternal youth.
No, a vampire had not turned you—you had absolutely zero problems going out in the sunshine and your bloodlust was virtually nonexistent—but you had been brought back from the brink of death by a non-human being. Your creator didn't stick around, but did teach you the basics of your new life.
You'd gone searching for others like you, so far without luck. You'd encountered a few different non-human beings, none quite like you. Perhaps you and your maker—if they were still around—were the only ones of your kind. It could have made you sad, and yes, some days the longing in your chest for someone who knew you, truly understood you on a fundamentally different level than what words can express, sometimes it would become overwhelming, and you would cry at the bottom of a lake or climb to the highest point of whatever city you happened to be in to gaze down at the small, short lives of humans until the sun set.
When night fell, however, you were rarely lonely. Immortal (or at least un-aging) beings tend to migrate towards one another. It's not that you went in search of them, nor they for you, but rather some sort of magnetic force pulled your lives into range, the orbits of your existences warped slightly to make the planets collide.
That is why, when a girl, in a body no more aged than your own, stalked you into a quiet alleyway, you only smiled to yourself. You pivoted on your heel, and turned to face her, still smiling pleasantly.
"Why hello there," you said, without moving your lips. Rather, you projected your thoughts so that any nearby vampires could hear. This one, the girl, must have been very new, or she had no qualms about eating something no longer human. She did not respond to your greeting, instead she advanced and leapt at you, fangs bared!
"Wait," you nearly screamed as you brought your arms up to protect your neck. "Stop! This is dangerous to you! You will die if you drink from me!"
You rolled and wrestled on the ground for a moment, bloodlust and hunger kept the girl from realizing that a human would not be able to fight a vampire.
"Claudia!" a man shouted, sounding more relieved than surprised to see her grappling with you. The girl, presumably Claudia, snapped her head in the voice's direction for a moment, before returning to the fight.
"Have some sense, girl!" another man shouted.
The two men came forward and dragged her off you.
"Apologies," one of them stepped forward and offered a hand. "My name is Monsieur Lioncourt. This is my companion Louis de Pointe Du Lac. You've already had the misfortune of meeting our young Miss Claudia."
Simply to spite his smug self-assuredness, you got up on your own, brushing gravel off your palms and turned towards your assailant. By now she had calmed, and was obstinately demanding to know why she couldn't drain you—"Are they a vampire?" "Did they drink poison?" "Blood cancer?".
"I hope I didn't hurt you, Miss Claudia," you said, breaking into her one-sided conversation with Mr. Du Lac. "Though, our tussle was quite… enjoyable."
"Your eyes," Louis said. "They're not quite…"
"Vampyric?" you filled in. "That would be because I am not one of you. Not quite."
"Then, my dear," Lioncourt's sickly sweet voice filled the alley. "What, exactly, are you?"
"A demonstration may be more educational than my recited history."
You pulled a small switchblade from your pocket and held it to the side of your palm. With the smallest amount of pressure possible, you pressed the very tip into your skin. As expected, Claudia leaned in with interest as the drop of red blood seeped out.
With the blood-drop came a shaft of light, which you aimed carefully downwards, away from the three vampires leaning in. The air seemed to warm a degree or two, and the whole alley grew a shade lighter. It was sunlight from a summer's afternoon, filtered through leaves, but bright as ever. Small flurries of dust were caught in the light as it streamed to the ground.
Monsieur Lioncourt's brows furrowed.
"Is that…?"
"Yes," you said, smiling down at your hand.
"Ha," he said, regaining his air of superiority. "An interesting parlor trick."
"Would you like to test it?"
You projected an image to his mind, one of the most gruesome sights you'd ever seen.
A vampire had been caught back in 1650s Siberia. She was subjected to the harsh northern sun, but never for long enough to kill her. The villagers had figured out that they could walk her to the brink of death, then return her to a coffin to heal, then put her in the sun once more, over and over again. They did this publicly, "a deterrent," they had called it.
Taking pity on her, you snuck to the coffin in the middle of the night, woke her just enough to ask if she wanted the torture to end. Before you could finish the sentence, she was begging. You had seated yourself in her coffin, cradling her head on your lap, and fed her a few drops of your sunshine, murmuring words of reassurance and stroking the crown of her head as she died. The smell of her charred body still stung your nostrils on the bad days.
Her burned face, gazing up at you with thanks as you offered to kill her, was the image you showed Monsieur Lioncourt.
"No need," Monsieur Lioncourt smiled. "I prefer to keep my skin unblemished."
Claudia had already thrust her hand under the light, palm up. She pulled it back and shrieked giddily before looking at you.
"How do you do that?"
You shrugged, and she took a couple steps closer.
"Are you really my age, or are you like Uncle Lestat?"
"Perhaps we could discuss this in private?" you prompted the vampires. "After your dinner, of course."
"Yeah," Louis said, eyeing the alleyway entrance uneasily. "I'd prefer if we weren't so exposed. Here's the address."
He passed you a fancy, professionally printed card with golden lettering.
"Perfect!" you smiled. "See you there by sunrise. If not, I'll have to find some new friends." Within a heart beat, you were gone, away and into the night.
"Ooh, I like them," Claudia said before skipping away in search of a new meal.
She takes the flowers the moment you offer them to her, still Violet just stare at them for a while before looking up at you, asking if those are truly for her a little bit hopeful, and when you say yes she look back at the flowers, trying to comprehend the storm of feelings that is happening inside of her, you can see a small smile slowly growing in her lips, what you can't see is the way her heart beats a little faster and the butterflies in her stomach, the way she tightens a little her grip on the flowers while also being careful to don't damage them
Cattleya Baudelaire
She takes a moment to appreciate the sight in front of her before accepting the flowers with a chuckle, you are really sweet, you know? Cattleya is really happy for the flowers, but more than the flowers is for the gesture, for this beautiful way you decided to show your love for her, and the more she thinks about it the more flustered she feels! And while she puts them in a vase to preserve them as much as posible she will tease you just a little, right before saying thank you again
Claudia Hodgins
You have completely caught him out of guard, he have never expected something like this and is pretty obvious by the way he looks at you a bit unsure, he asks if you are completely sure this flowers are for him before accepting them, he holds the bouquet with a mix of nervousness and embarrasement before simply sighing with a smile, gentily caresing the petals of one of the flowers before looking back at you, thanking you with a kiss on your the top of your head
Benedict Blue
He is shocked AND flustered, the moment you say that the flowers are for him his reaction is immediate, he can't even think properly to try to cover his blush with his hands, its just so unexpected, this isn't a joke, is it? After calming down Benedict is finally able to take the flowers from you hands, holding them a little awkward, but having them in his arms is reasuring, it makes him slowly accept the fact that you actually brought him flowers, and the more he thinks about it the more flustered he is
THE DRAGON PRNCE X READER?!?! Im in heaven. I was wondering if u could make HC's on how the characters would react/feel if their S/O got scared/nervous around them after they did a spell, for example, when Rayla goes into her moon shadow elf form
Could we get a little Beneviento sisters x reader fic please? A little treat
- simp anon
Ahaha I should change this blog to just Beneviento simping zone, I’ve made so many people love Bernadette and Claudia, and I’m so glad they’re getting so much love<3
How about a little dinner time with them?
Dinner time was always the highlight of the day. After a morning of waking up- watching all three of your girlfriends practically tripping over themselves to get to work and joining whichever you were scheduled to be with that day to the very end- coming home to that relief of spending time together as a family was always worth every bitter bead of sweat that rolled down your face. It also helped that cooking dinner together was a major love language for the Benevientos, and while you could never match up to their culinary mastery, you could help out.
This evening, though, you were standing aside while Donna attended to the stove and Claudia set the oven. Bernadette was expertly cutting sheets of pasta, and everyone seemed to be so in sync to the unspoken agreement that lasagna was for dinner. There seemed to be little room for you to lend a helping hand, however, that didn’t stop you from hovering around just in case.
“How was helping Bernadette in the garden today?” The question came from Donna’s lips as she passed by you, pausing just long enough to press her cheek into your shoulder like a cat marking her territory.
“Hot.” You replied without thinking, earning a loud snort from Claudia, reminding you of her gutter-mind. You roll your eyes despite the forming grin across your lips. “Temperature hot, Claudia.”
“Sure.” Claudia replies with a smirk after sticking out her tongue at you. She lets out a few snickers as you give her a wink, earning an audible sigh from the oldest sister. Bernadette shares a look with Donna as the youngest sister is cutting carrots to add to the vegetable stir-fry still in progress on the stove.
“They were wonderful help.” Bernadette states as she steps aside, letting Claudia take over layering the lasagna and putting it into the oven. Her hands find an abandoned hand towel, and the fingers hook on the fabric to wipe off whatever edible debris clung to their pores. “Got a little too distracted with the hose though.”
“To be fair, you were flexing.” You counter, earning a Cheshire smile from the oldest sister as she leans back on her elbows against the counter.
“I was using the wheelbarrow, dolcezza.”
A hot blush starts to form across your cheeks as the Italian rolls along Bernadette’s deep voice like melted metal in a mold. No matter how often the Benevientos spoke their mother tongue to you, it still had you rather frazzled hearing it every damn time.
“You didn’t drown the tulips, did you?” Donna’s voice breaks you out of it, and you frantically shake your head to deny the idea.
“No!” You chirp, your blush darkening now in embarrassment as the dollmaker quirks a brow at you. “I just- uh…”
“Lemme guess.” Claudia says, shutting the oven to emphasize her voice. “You made another pond in the middle of some random plot of dirt Bernadette was preparing to plant.”
Now your face is scolding, and you groan- hiding the hue in your hands- unable to escape the situation now. A round of endearing giggles go around the kitchen as the sisters coo at your adorable display, making it easy to accept your embarrassment and giggle, raising your head from the grasps of your fingers. It’s true that you weren’t as skilled as the sisters in their respective fields. Compared to them, you were decent at things, but knew a lot of skills- a bit of a jack-of-all-trades- but the trade-off was that you didn’t have astonishing knowledge in anything. Well, at least the things the Beneviento sisters were into.
Bernadette was the easiest to work with. You liked days with her a lot, even if it was going to be physically demanding. The oldest sister with her psychology background and job as a therapist meant that she almost always seemed to know what was spiraling in your head, with the patience of a thousand gods, and her choice words always made your chest burst with warmth and eyes explode with grateful tears. If the two of you weren’t labouring away in the gardens around the manor, you were venting your woes to each other somewhere in the forest.
Claudia was the next easiest to work with. She worked as the village doctor and was overflowing with altruism. She fortunately had the energy to match such a demanding job, and most of the time you were basically there to deliver supplies and check inventory, on rare occasions you would help with treatments. Due to the nature of her job, Claudia has a pretty no-bullshit attitude during work, which tends to give you whiplash compared to her silly personality at home. Just another quirky facet of her that you’ve fallen in love with over the years.
Unfortunately, as much as you simply adored spending time with Donna, you were pretty useless when it came to helping her make dolls. Much of the time you were there to parallel work together, or to keep Angie entertained. Nevertheless, the system you both figured out is one that you look forward to each time, and if things get done sooner… well-
“Hey.” Claudia’s voice snaps you out of your wandering thoughts, and you blink back to reality to see her waving a hand in your face. “Back to Earth, idiota.”
She snaps her fingers at you, throwing her arm in various directions as she does so, making you laugh.
“Okay, okay! Back to Earth, I’m back to Earth-” You reassure, raising your hands in surrender as Claudia chuckles, flicking your forehead.
“I’m surprised the gravity can hold down your air head.” Claudia jests, giving your cheek a quick peck before slinking away down the halls. You watch her go, rubbing the spot where her lips graced your skin with a dreamy smile, turning your attention back to the other two.
Donna had finished her dish and was helping Bernadette set the table. The dollmaker gestures for you to sit down and begin eating while the lasagna cooks in the oven, and you happily stride over to the chair. Bernadette takes a seat across from you, sipping her tea while Donna pours your cup.
“Thank you, beautiful.” You praise, raising a hand to cup the dollmaker’s cheek. She leans into the touch with a smile, almost purring as she soaked in your affection like a sponge. The moment doesn’t last long, as Donna pulls away quickly to pour tea for herself, but little moments like that feel so much longer. They replay in your head often. Gosh her smile really did things to your brain chemistry.
The three of you begin treating the vegetable dish and cups of tea while making small talk. It starts with a simple discussion on what the plans were for tomorrow, and derailed into various other topics that somehow managed to come up. Sometimes Bernadette and Donna would exchange words in Italian, bits and pieces you’d recognize, but not enough to piece together what they were talking about. One time, Donna said something that made Bernadette laugh, and you laughed at Donna’s shocked expression. You had said something to affectionately tease her, and Donna stopped chewing her food to stare daggers at you. It would have been scary, if one of her cheeks wasn’t swollen with food like a little chipmunk, making you laugh harder.
The moment is broken when there’s a sudden loud crash in the distance. All conversation comes to a screeching halt as the thud echoes vaguely in the large manor. A moment of silence passes before a loud “DONNNNNNNNNNNNNNA!!” howls across the estate in Claudia’s voice. On cue, Donna sets down her tea and stands up from her chair- the back of her knees pushing it back with a sound of wood scraping on wood- flattening her dress with a brisk few brushes of her hands.
“I’ll be excusing myself.” She says with a huge, shit-eating grin, walking away with a fast clop-clop of her heeled boots.
You and Bernadette share smiles as there’s the sound of approaching footsteps, only a moment later with Claudia bursting into the kitchen, torso soaked.
“Where’d she go?!” The middle child demands, moving wet strands of hair out of her eyes.
“She excused herself.” Bernadette states while taking a sip of her tea. You reaffirm the statement with a nod of your head. Claudia growls and stomps through the room in the direction Donna disappeared down, plotting her prank to get back at the youngest sister.
Once all was silent again, Bernadette took another sip of tea.
“You got plans tonight?” She pipes up towards you, and you shake your head in response. “Donna was asking me if she could have time with you tonight, before you go with Claudia tomorrow.”
“Hm? Oh sure, what for?” You inquire, shoving vegetables in your mouth. You had begun chewing them until Bernadette gave you a sultry smile, causing your mastication to slow until it stopped, paralyzed and unable to swallow.
Now you know what it was. Earlier Bernadette had taken you against a tree when the two of you were supposed to be trimming bushes, and earlier than that Claudia had to do the laundry in the morning after she woke you up with choice placement of her hands.
Right as you were thinking about the evening with Donna, the oven beeps, and Bernadette brightens out of her darkened gaze to an almost child-like grin.
“Be a dear and fetch the others for dinner.” She says, and you’ve finally found the strength to swallow, nodding as you stand up and head in the direction the other two did earlier. You also make a mental note to find Angie, who must still be napping after being continuously interrupted by a “busy” night.
