THE PROFS THE PROFS THE PROFS THE PROFS!!!!!!!
Oh boy.
OH BOY.
*brings out my 12 pg essay and apologizes in advance because no one is going to read this lol*
So here's the thing about the Profs: they somehow (at least in my dear humble little right brain opinion) have their whole story laid out in front of them despite Gamefreak not saying a single word or hint about them; through their own subtle characterizations through body language as well as hints to their true personalities, Sada and Turo to me are just...really tragic if you take into account what happens throughout the games. And it's all seen through the lens of their son who was left to grieve on his own. You have these two people who seem so different, and you have them both be extremely dedicated and devoted to their spouse and son. And that is one of the coolest aspects of them for me: is them obviously being so in love that it is hidden well behind a tragedy of losing the people close to them (and eventually their own life) through grief and obsession and loss.
I am a huge sucker for thematic parallels and opposites balancing each other out. I am a huge slut for characters being so outright devoted to each other and their families, that they would do anything even if it meant they would lose themselves in the process. And that is super telling from them as characters because it didn't matter if one was seemingly more emotional or the other was seemingly more logical: they both had that potential to be that way. From the aspects I can infer upon, they definitely balance each other out and how one cannot be complete without the other, with Sada being the fiery determined, emotional sun to Turo as Turo is the cool stoic, logical moon to Sada. And it's even more of a soft spot for me when I can imagine their dynamic as well, with Sada being the one to bring more color and expression to Turo's life and give him a place to be vulnerable, and with Turo being the one to give Sada a space to be passionate about her interests as well as help her be more calm with her emotions and ground her. Like there's just so much there I just love to indulge in tbh.
In short, they deserve so much better from the fandom as well as Arven since I STILL see people hating on and mischaracterizing him. I think ultimately this ship and SV as a whole made me realize that this fandom needs reading comprehension like badly.
