Energy Vampire Cleansing Bath Ritual
Everyone has encountered an energy vampire. Whether it be a friend that shouldn't be one, or walking past one in the street. Every so often I would suggest taking a specific energy vampire cleansing bath to rid yourself of them. They can attach whether or not they know you. I know that doesn't quite seem possible but it's true. Imagine yourself just getting tapped while dancing or bumped walking in the busy street. That direct connection of energy can be linked to you like it or not. Here is what I do when I feel one attached.
Things you need:
Lemon oil
Sweet orange oil
Rose petals (any color your attracted to I suggest red or yellow)
Lavender
Babys Breath
Melaleuca soap
Melaleuca shampoo & conditioner
I use a tub with a drainer in the side of it. I over fill the tub with water. While the tub is filling I add lemon and sweet orange essential oils, rose petals and lavender for a softer release (it's like falling into pillows), and babys breath for that breath of fresh air after the connection is terminated. I also light a zingy candle like a citrus infused one and an incense that calls to you. I'd suggest something like lotus or eucalyptus. Sit in the tub and repeat a mantra. I use "Release the negative energies draining me, and bring in the good energies rejuvenating me." Once you’ve mediated on your mantra to the point you feel it’s completed, submerge your head under the water for however long you feel necessary. Once you’re done it’s time for the shower. I highly suggest using a melaleuca (tea tree) based soap and shampoo and cleanse yourself from head to toe. You should feel completely rejuvenated and cleansed afterwards.

As the day begins, the moon is waning in the deep water sign of Scorpio. It's the perfect time to use water magic to cleanse yourself of any negative energy you may have.
This spell uses three handfuls of bath salts, a teaspoon of lavender flowers [or three drops of lavender oil], and a hot bath. Soak in the bathtub with the salt and the lavender.
Imagine that the hot water is drawing out any negative energy from you, like a tea bag releasing tea. When you're ready to leave, pull the plug and envision the bad energy staying in the water.
As the water drains, say :
The cleansing waters have set me free,
Negativity, I leave you behind me.
As the water swirls down the drain,
May we never meet again.
Towel off, knowing you've left it behind you for good. Walk away without looking back.

As we prepare for the upcoming September Equinox, it’s an excellent time to explore water rituals as a way to clear stagnant energy from the body.
There are several ways to complete a water ritual - baths, showers, daily washing, or living water purification.
Across each of these practices, it’s important to remember:
〰️ The art of a spiritual bath uses symbolism to embrace the four elements that support us all and are the mainstay of any esoteric practice: Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, which is why you’ll typically include bath salts, herbs, music, and incense into the practice.
〰️ While bathing and soaking are forms of physical water therapy, these types of water rituals are for healing and cleansing the spirit.
〰️ When you engage in ritual bathing practices, you are participating in an initiation to open yourself up to Spirit. It suggests that you are willing to listen to your higher self and begin to trust something outside of your rational mind.
Swipe through to tap into the practice that best suits your needs.

Herbal Bath for Cleansing the Self
I saw a post on Facebook asking about herbal cleansing baths and how we individually do them and I wrote out a description I ended up wanting to post here so if you're looking for a cleansing bath recipe that uses ingredients readily accessible in most kitchens (at least, AFAIK, in the US), here it is! Super simple and I feel incredible afterwards! 🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕 ✨I cleanse my bathroom physically and spiritually. (I usually use sound cleansing followed by an incense that usually corresponds with cleansing. Sandalwood is one I like for that) 🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕 ✨I have a crystal set-up I do next: (After they've been cleansed and charged, I lay out the following crystals for protection + cleansing) Obsidian, Selenite, Fluorite, and Tiger's Eye. I lay them out surrounding my tub. 🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕 ✨My herbs and other ingredients are dependent on what I have on hand but I usually fill a tea ball with the following: thyme, rosemary, star anise, chamomile, lavender, parsley, sea salt. I also add lemon peels! 🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕 ✨I also prefer to do this during a full or new moon (for cleansing, I use either of the major moon phases. 🌕 🌖 🌗 🌘 🌑 🌒 🌓 🌔 🌕

🔮 Protection and cleansing ritual for when you have bad juju and need to get rid of it ASAP 🍃
This is a ritual that's been passed down to me by my mother, and that I'm sharing with you because I thought you might need it during these trying times!
You will need:
Salt: Any salt will do, but sea salt is ideal
Rue (ruta graveolens): If you don't have any you can also use basil, mint, or rosemary.
A white candle
A bowl that's either white or transparent
A bottle of mineral water
A bucket
Your shower or bathtub
A pot
A wooden spoon
Step 1:
Fill the bowl with water, put your hands above it and visualize the bad energy coming out of your hands into the bowl, making the water darker. Throw this water away and after washing it you can use the bowl.
Step 2:
Put a handful of rue into a pot and boil it to make tea, stir it clockwise while visualizing protection, until the water is a light green. Then turn off the heat and let it sit in the pot.
Step 3
Before hopping into the shower, fill your bucket with a handful of salt, a handful of loose rue leaves and stems, and a cup of rue tea. Add water until the bucket is full and let it sit.
OR
Alternatively, fill your bathtub with warm water, two handfuls of salt, a handful of rue branches and leaves and two cups of rue tea.
Step 4
Shower normally, wash your hair too.
OR
Soak in the tub for no longer than 20 minutes but do not get your head or hair wet. Soak from the neck down only.
Step 5 - for those who showered
After your shower, grab the bucket and pour it all over yourself from the neck down. Don't rinse it off.
Step 6
Step out of the shower or bathtub and if you can, let your body air dry. If you can't, tap your body dry gently, no scrubbing. The goal is to smell like rue and have salty skin.
Step 7
After you're dry, go to an area of your home where you can leave a candle to burn without danger. Get the bottle of water and the candle, and put them next to each other.
Step 8
Light the candle and ask your preferred deity (if you have one) to infuse the water with protective and healing energy, or simply state it. Let the candle burn overnight if you can.
Step 9
Go to sleep, and while lying down before drifting off imagine a warm light surrounding you, kind of like the sun. Know that it is going to protect you. You might experience intense dreams because rue is like that ™️ and also rosemary sometimes. It's okay!
Step 10
Upon waking up, say that you are grateful to be alive. Throughout the day, drink the entire water bottle.
Warnings and advice:
Rue can be a very intense herb to work with so definitely alter the dosage in case you've never used it before.
Rosemary interferes with birth control almost instantly if you ingest it so watch out for that!
Do a full hour's patch test with whatever you're using that you haven't before.
Don't do this more than once every two months. People who do spiritual work can do it once a month.
If you can, don't eat meat, smoke or drink alcohol the day you do this ritual.
⭐⚡Happy cleansing, friends! 💜✨
Cleansing
What is Cleansing?
Cleansing is an essential and important part of a lot of practices in witchcraft. Cleansing clears and purifies the energy of the object/space/et cetera in question
Why is Cleansing Important?
Cleansing gets rid of negative, old, and unwanted energy. This is good for many reasons. For one, you might want to cleanse your tarot cards after a while, or else they will have your old energy all over them. This energy is no longer relevant and can cause for inaccurate readings. It’s also a good idea to cleanse your home every so often, to get rid of stagnant energy. Finally, it is a good idea to cleanse your space before performing a spell, in order to keep out unwanted energy
Ways to Cleanse
There are so many ways to cleanse- definitely more than I will include in the post. Since it is difficult to make a comprehensive list of them all, this post will focus on some of the most common and accessible ways to cleanse
Smoke Cleansing
Burning herbs and cleansing with smoke is one of the most popular ways to cleanse. One of the most popular herbs to cleanse with is sage. It is important to understand the difference between burning sage and smudging. Smudging is sacred and exclusive to Native Americans, so the use of it by Non-Indigenous Peoples is cultural appropriation. If you choose to burn sage, perhaps avoid white sage in particular, and avoid the use of a feather, as that is part of smudging. Other herbs work fantastically, such as rosemary! Rosemary is easily accessible and works just as well. You can burn other varieties of herbs and woods, such as a cinnamon stick. Do some research to determine which herb best suits your needs
Cleansing Spray
One of the easiest ways that produces little to no odour. Add corresponding herbs and crystals to a spray container with water. Once they have been mixed together, spray away. I like to get a sage leaf from my garden, as well as some rosemary together in a miniature spray bottle. It takes very little effort, while being inexpensive and efficient. You can also purchase a premade cleansing spray, although be cautious if you are sensitive to perfumes, as some are very fragrant
Salt
When it comes to cleansing objects, salt is classic and reliable. To cleanse an object, submerge it in a bowl of salt that just about covers it. Be cautious however, as salt damages some crystals and can damage designs on paper if left on too long
Cleansing Bath
If it’s you that needs cleansing, consider a cleansing bath (or shower). Fill the tub with warm water and a scoop of epsom salt. You can choose to add bath bombs, herbs, crystals, oils, whatever you see fit. Add some soothing music or read a book. A cleansing bath is an excellent way to reset your brain and ground yourself
Bells/Noise
Walking around a room ringing a bell is a way to break up stagnant energy in your home that people have been using for centuries. If you feel negative energy milling around and you don’t have a bell, smash some pots together and give that energy a piece of your mind. For a less eardrum damaging method, play an instrument to cleanse your space
Tibetan Singing Bowls
Similar to bells and pots, a Tibetan Singing Bowl will cleanse objects by vibrating to produce an extraordinary sound, which will disperse negative energy. They are commonly used to cleanse small objects, as you can put something inside the bowl while you produce the sound
Sun and Moon Cleansing
It is common to see witches leave their crystals on their windowsill the night of a full moon. This is because the moon, especially when full, has amazing cleansing properties. Leaving something in the light of the moon or the sun can do many things, one of which is cleanse objects. I recommend cleansing tools you use often under the full moon every month
Cleansing Spaces
I would like to add, when cleansing spaces, you should open a window or a door. If you are trying to get rid of the negative energy, you should provide an alternative place to go (like outside far, far away from you). If you cleanse with your windows closed, it’s just running in circles
