Clover Comix 4
saw that "you can't" twdg comic that you ranted on and omg that walker in the back looks like he died of boredommmm
Comics Clem: Sorry AJ - my only family left in this world - I must leave because I decided you suck and I’m bored
Walker: Damn
The title 'Clementine Lives' is really misleading
Because it gives the implication that the Boarding School falls and Clementine is the sole survivor, not that she has a sudden personality change and fucks off after saying that she 'isn't happy' despite everything she said in The Final Season about how she was tired of constantly moving.
Seriously it would've made more sense for the boarding school to have fallen to another group or a bunch of Walkers with everyone dying, because then Tangerine's attitude to Walkers in the Walden comics would make more sense.
Ok what was this ending...😭 I never had any hopes for this comic book but what was the point, again? All her character development in game is in vain, they reused s4 plot of finding place to call home, except Clem is completely forgetting all her real FAMILY just to get another group & love interest...
She says Ricca is love of her life and she never loved anyone this much, and that's the whole ending. Aside from their romance as a whole being, well, questionable, it doesn't make any sense because she already had Violet/Louis in her life. Their relationships were so well done and unique each their own way, I can't imagine them not being stronger than whatever was between Clem and Ricca.
After loosing Ricca Clem says that people don't die, she's in denial. But she had already experienced and overcome this disbelief in losing close people when Lee was dying. And then she encouraged AJ to keep going even if she would end up beaten. So that's the reused character arc again😭 Plus, she trusts strangers too much here. They threw her in walker garden and she still decided to stay with them? At start, 11 yo Clem didn't even trust Luke's group because they wanted to be extra safe and lock her in shed
Don't get me started on naming her prosthesis Kenny and Rosie ://
But I need to be honest, the only character I LOVED there was Amos, it would be much more interesting to see his story as amish kid in apocalypse (I don't even mind bringing him to Ericson school) but they decided to give him... father plot and kill him off in the first book
I'm glad it ended. Don't get me wrong, it could definitely work as different zombie story in different universe, but not the twdg one, not as continuation of Clementine's story. Her story ended long time ago in 2019💔
do you think the clementine comic was necessary to the plot? imo it doesn't even matter since the ending's the same as s4's.
I don't think the comics were necessary, or even a good idea to have exist. Most people were happy or at least content with the ending we got in season four, and the comics just spat all over that and ruined things. I haven't read the comics myself, I only know about them from what others have said, but if it really ends the same way as the games then it's even more of an insult to fans since the comics apparently just erased everything from the games just to give a different version of the same ending. I really don't know what they were thinking with all of it.
Reason #183572683 to be mad at the clementine comics:
Clem can say to violet, “why would i go anywhere else when youre here?” To which violet responds: “I’m glad.”
Which means theres an ACTUAL branch of canon where clem says that to violet and LEAVES ANYWAYS???? My brother in christ what the FUCK
