Not gonna lie this episode... was awesome!
Hope's annoyance in the beginning was annoying the crap out of me. Like girl, you know why she's mad. You deserve it. Get the attitude outcha face. Plus, with Dark!Josie, the fault can be spread around. Hope asked Josie for help back in season 1 with her first black magic spell. Continuing later when Clark tricked Josie with more of it. Lizzie's lack of awareness of her sisters feelings, plus Josie's caretaker spirit gave plenty of nudges toward it too. It was not just Lizzie, boo. And a part of me is on Lizzie's side, not just because I love Lizzie, and dislike Alaric, so them disobeying him is always golden, but seriously, Why is it that Hope really can't mind her own business? She has to jump in. No one asked for your help babe. Maybe I just like drama but I would have liked to see them holding a grudge with each other longer. Honestly, Hope needed to be on a longer time-out with the Squad. One decision put the twins in harms way, MG left the school, and the plan didn't even work. All could be avoided if she would have just listened and waited. But alas Hizzie prevailed and funny enough Landon was their biggest supporter. Not just with them, but all of the OG's except our two MIA agents.
I missed Landon so much. Not Handon, though that's okay too. Like I said last review. Yay, touchdown, whatever. But Landon, as an individual. His sense of humor, sci-fi knowledge, and overall personality. I love it. This is truly his episode. Dealing with Gremlins?! Of course he would go crazy of them.
Handon. On cloud nine now that their reunited. But I can see troubles in the future. How long will Landon let Hope keep protecting him? He voiced his concerns this episode about being Hope's exception to her morals or loyalty to their friends. Landon, I think is noticing, uhm, I don't want to use the word obsession with Handon, but he's noticed her devotion to him, and how it clouds her thinking and actions. He wouldn't want her to do it again. He is always on her side, but the way they spoke about the incident, it was evident he saw thigs Lizzie and MG's way too, and why what Hope did wouldn't be the best. How long will Landon continue to let Hope make him her exception?
He's in favor of Hope being around her friends, so again, I expect Hizzie, Hosie, MG x Hope, Hope x Kaleb, Hope x Cleo. I need to see diverse couplings of friends hanging out. I'm getting my Kaleb and Lizzie. MG and Josie, now that they go to the same school, are actually being the BFF's that were promised to us in Season 1. So, keep it up writers.
Cleo and Kaleb. So sweet. So cute. Loved Cleo this episode. Again, she was the voice of reason. Calm and collected, except when she was cursing the monster. She's always vibes with Kaleb, and she's cool with Hope, and she can keep her calm with Lizzie. This girl is earning her place on this Squad! Go Cleo!
Dorian! Love him always! Alaric...why is he doing this? Why? Can he leave yet. Alaric can't look after his own kids, the students, or the school. Who the hell is he to promise to look after a whole other human kid, that isn't his responsibility and doesn't even go to his school. I say let Ethan know. TVD and TO had their token human. The one that was in the know. (Matt-TVD, Cami-TO)(yes I am aware she became a vampire, but that was only for a hot quick second) Let Ethan be Legacies human. There's still the fact that Josie broke his arm, so hopefully he won't hold a grudge against her for that, but I can maybe see Ethan being around all of them.
Alaric voices that he notices he isn't a good dad. Hmm. Well it was sweet and all, but if only love was all it took to be considered a good parent. And they're 17. in less than a year, they will be 18 and on their next journey. When exactly are you going to find the time to make it up to them. Unless he plans on following them to college like he did with Elena in TVD. Oh crap! I jinxed us! Sorry!
I liked Ethan and MG being friends. I wish it was done at the Salvatore School, but I still liked it. I loved Kaleb and Lizzie as usual. Those two are currently my favorite duo recently. I've been loving their scenes together these past few episodes. Both if them miss MG, so they gravitate towards each other. New friendship vibes happening!
So this isn't the Super Squad therapeutic session with Emma I had in mind, but a monster that makes them respect each other is definitely a way to get past things, even by force. Lizzie and Hope are more alike than they like to think. Yeahhhh guyys. We already knew that. Catch up, girls! Though I love their respect towards each other, both were a hundred percent honest and I loved it.
''Badass Icy Stare.'' Honey, that's a Mikaelson glare. It's in the genes, baby!
So, Josie went to the Salvatore's house. Make's sense. The other option of family friends is Matthew Donovan, and the word ''friend'' seemed to be stretching it back in season 1. Both MG and Josie are there? Or does MG still lives at the School?
So Legacies is moving on from Greek Mythology and we're about to get a history overload?! More Clark during Nazi Germany? Rasputin? Napoléon? I love history, so bring it on!
I left episode 3x08, pending until I knew the outcome of the Super Squad. I still say it's still semi fractured. Only half have reunited! That doesn't count. No Kaleb and MG. No Hope and MG. So it's an A minus! I will change that.
This episode was great. I loved it. Landon was back and hilarious. MG made a friend who will hopefully learn to keep his mouth shut! Hizzie made up, sweetly, if not too fast for my taste. Josie is doing okay at MFH, but misses Finch. Sorry Jo! And the dialogue this episode just amazing. I love it. I really do. A plus work Julie!
