Some weeks ago, I started watching Legacies, that final Vampire Diaries spin-off. It's a nice watch, I like the actors and the story, but gosh, their mid season has some Memento Mori vibes that I was not prepared for.

For starters, episode 5, Malivore. Where we witness a dryad funeral.

(Just look at poor Dorian Williams reaching for the shovel, ready to dig a full grave all on his own. Luckily, things are different on a tree spirit's funeral.)
