Anyone else get really annoyed at the mainstream attitude that “good brands will save us”? Like, no they obviously won’t.

And to those who want to comment “no one actually thinks that” - you’re either naïve or in denial. A LOT of mainstream eco-influencers focus so much on brands that they themselves, and their followers, adopt that attitude. Asking for reform is one thing - believing that “good” brands are our heroes is very dangerous. If you recognize that tenancy in yourself, please pause and reflect on it.

The only environmentally friendly economic system is socialism, the environment is all of ours, not just the 1%'s.

Dear friends, Since June, I have been taking part in SEALNet Project Vietnam 2020 Lam Dong: Food Safety and Organic Farming (PV20LD) a project under Southeast Asian Service Leadership Network (SEALNet), as one of the project mentees. The project was created in order to address the problem of unsustainable farming and poor food health in Vietnam. 

PV20LD focuses on empowering ethnic minority youths in Lam Dong, Vietnam to engage in clean and efficient farming production through cultivating an informed and courageous cross-cultural community of servant leaders. It is a nonprofit project and we are looking for supports both monetary donations or non-monetary (Such as helping promote the project, introduce us to potential sponsors).
