I wasn’t expecting Whitley to turn around but I’m definitely enjoying it. I love how Weiss realizes that as screwed up as her family is most of them do love her. Her mother is able to finally snap herself out of her drunken daze and help her. Whitley realizes exactly how bad things are and helps out, because no matter how much of an asshole he is, he isn’t going to let innocents die. Clime comes back to heal and comfort without a moments hesitation and makes it clear he loves Weiss. And of course her team (well most of it) is there protecting and fighting for her.

I really love how this show has a constant message of how ever dark things get you aren’t alone.

July 7th - I’ve been up the Wrekin before, but never on a bike. And it was a great, if tiring experience. The view is as stunning as ever, and the views of Telford, the Welsh Mountains and even the Malverns are commanding. Even the idle and closed power station in the gorge looked tiny.

The ride up (about 85% ridden, 15% pushed) was tough but not as hard as expected, despite rock and loose gravel making the way treacherous, and the descent was easy too (although scary in some parts and it ate a pair of brake pads).

Two things of note - it was chilly up there, and the crows seem very tame and will actively try to take your snacks while you’re eating them.

The many dogs up there seem to enjoy it too.
