For the character ask regular beldam from coraline please?
Oh she scared me so bad as a kid, I hated the movie so much dndjdj
Now its nostalgic and also I have such an appreciation for the movie, Coraline is so pretty you guys I love this movie so much. Also I'm supposed to be talking about the Beldam, who's pretty neat! She's spooky and conniving and clever and mean and oh so interesting I love watching her.
Oh there are a lot of moments I like.. I think my favorite part is either when she mentions the eyes/buttons for the first time and it's just so unsettling and nothing is wrong technically speaking but you just feel such a strong need for Coraline to leave right then and to not go back and a part of you withers a little because you know she's going to go back and that more manipulation will take place.
Or the moment where Coraline insults her and we get that wonderful scene of her stretching out and everything about her is so wrong and bad and she's counting down and Coraline won't just apologize, and if I'm right I'm pretty sure that's the first time we actually get to see her try to hurt Coraline. I mean she isn't trying to kill her, but she does hurt her and trap her and guys it's such a fun scene dndndjdjs
I don't think I have any ideas, but oooooooooh I would love to see her world/her puppets/herself change as she interacts with different kids. Like how does she interact with them? What does everything look like now? Were they easier to convince, in which case, what happened as soon as they agreed? I just wanna knowww (I also want more backstory between her and the cat. Mostly just like. How long have they known eachother, or have been fighting? The cat is magic, is he not really a cat??? Does the Beldam know that?)
I don't think I have any?... I don't know what qualifies as unpopular fjdjjdjd I do think she's neat, if that counts? (Neat as in interesting)
I would kill to explore the dynamic between her and her puppets. Cause like... They're alive, right?? (I would think so, why else would they warn Coraline?) Do they get along, or can they, for that matter?
She's a bit of a control freak. She likes things to be how she wants when she wants and it seriously irks her when things don't go like that. (Which is arguably canon but shhhh)
