a gender related to the character of clover field from the zero escape games! this can be those who are kin with the character, who feel that their gender matches the character’s gender in some way, or who feel like the character simply describes their gender!
color meanings are under the cut! as was with my post on akanecharic, under the cut there will be spoilers for the first game, as well as the second!
the dark reddish brown is color picked from clover's hair (i had a difficulty deciding whether i wanted to use the sprite color or the official art color but went with the latter). additionally, the brown represents being rooted in growth; any plant must grow in soil to thrive. i feel that clover has a lot of growth that she undergoes throughout the game (she is not a static character, fight me!) while still having growth to do by the end of virtue's last reward.
the darker pink is from her pink streaks as well as her outfit in general; this represents her presence in the first game, as it is colorpicked from that palette. the pale pink is from the second game, taken from her outfit and some of the streaks in her hair at that point. this represents her designs over those two games.
the green, obviously, is a reference to her name! it's colorpicked from the stripes on her little bow on her first game outfit actually :) it also represents growth and just, her in general <3
the silver is a reference to a couple things: the axe clover uses in the axe ending, as well as weapons in general, as she ALSO uses a bladed implement in virtue's last reward. it also is meant to be a reference to her relationship with light/snake; i associate him with the color gray, thus this color.
the red is for her justified anger and her rage throughout the games, as well as the red bracelets used for the nonary games. as a THREE-TIME participant, and therefore tied with akane and junpei for amount of participations in the games, i feel that her relationship with the games and her rage as a result is incredibly important to her character!
finally, the black is a reference to her esper status/psychic powers/connection to the morphogenetic field! it's something she and akane (and other characters i also plan to make flags for) share!
