what's with CM having AJ direct episodes that have downer endings?
14x13: ends with Everett Lynch escape and go on the run
17x02: ends with Luke finding out about baugate which is a deepfake site centering on JJ
18x07: ends with Tara getting shot in front of Rebecca
16x08 is somewhat of an exception as the team managed to save Ramona, though she is left traumatized and scared to speak out until 18x03 and another member of Voit's network is killed. It still ends on a somewhat hopeful ending with Rossi speaking to Voit's wife, Sydney
I am so excited for this episode, it’s a Rossi centric episode and it’s the on AJ directed! Spoilers below.

The unsub got away. I'm guessing he's the main big unsub for this season and the next

This episode was so good. I always love these kind of flashbacks episodes they're always great to watch. I loved that we had some focus on Rossi. AJ did such an amazing job directing the episode and Joe was amazing too. I'm guessing this unsub is the big bad guy for this season and the next by the looks of things and I'm so excited for it. I loved how everyone had their shining moment. I'm so excited to see what Grace told Rossi and I think next week maybe a continuation of this weeks episode.
