When the soprano kissed the coalman

When the soprano kissed the coalman, the world collapsed on itself. And began anew.

She steps through theater air. Her hair, a radiant gold, swaying like an Tupelo porch swing. Her voice piercing and melodic. Notes of apricot and honeydew hang like ornaments. She smells of honeysuckle and wears a glycerin smile. Her name Tokaj (“toe-kye”). She is born from northeastern Hungary. Her audience often summoned by royal degree.

New Jon Todd paintings featured at PAPIER12 Contemporary Art Fair, Montreal

 April 12th to 15th.  I will have 2 new mixed media paintings on paper (Title: Troll, 2012 and Coalman, 2012) at PAPIER12 Contemporary Art Fair, Montreal.  They both will be on display with  Yves Laroche Gallery, Booth #111.  They will be  showcasing the works from artists such as Other, Jonathan Bergeron, Jason Botkin, Dave Cooper, Heidi Taillefer, Osvaldo Ramirez Castillo, Jean Labourdette, Reso  and Cope2. 

  PAPIER12 will be presented only two steps from the Place des Festivals, in the heart of Quartier des spectacles, Montreal's cultural district, at the corner of Bleury and Maisonneuve Boulevard, in a temporary outdoor structure. Yves Laroche Gallery will be in booth # 111
