Wing au because everyone has one and i want one
Imagine ghost has big, beautiful, crow-like wings black as charcoal, and they really have a bit of a charcoal-ish pattern, like hand-drawn and softer closer to the edges.
Him and soap were out on recon, or maybe a dangerous assignment, who knows... and caught a pretty bad storm on their way back, one that neither of them expected or knew how to manage. They didn't think much outside of survival, of course. So they made their way back half flight, half on foot, clinging to whatever they could and getting injured in the process.
When they finally made it back at hq, however, under the bright lights of the infirmary, soap realized that the darkness of ghost's wings were gone, washed away by the heavy rain. His wet footprints down the corridor were dark with the coal paint dripping down his wings, who just so happened to be a beautiful shade of white, nearing yellow, like an angel's.
And i swear to god that sight shook johnny boy more than the howling wind outside 😔✋️
