CELEBRATIONS • Gather round kiddies, it's story time.... • Many of you over recent months have seen a real physical change in me and no doubt have noticed an increase in the number of posts regarding my #gettingbacktoabetterme #reversingthebiggirl & #walkingmyselfwell campaign. Whilst you've all been super generous and encouraging, what you don't know is why.... • 8 months ago I went for my regular blood tests (usually every 2yrs), no big deal however this time it was a big deal, I was diagnosed with #Type2Diabetes. • I was surprised but at the same time I wasn't. My weight and health have always been a challenge for me to handle and face but now was the time for me to OWN who I am and what I was going to do about my current situation • Thankfully in owning the situation and being prepared to take responsibility my doctor decided that she would not put me on any medication and encouraged me to look at reversing this thing with hard work, exercise and diet and suggested that for me the thought of surgery should be a last resort. • Last week I went for my check up blood tests and TODAY I was told that I had reversed my diabetes and was being downgraded to #PreDiabetic!!! • For the first time I am proud of how I look and feel better than ever. There is still work to be done and I am determined that this reversal is far from over • In the midst of this health journey so many of you have encouraged me and #blessed me with your kind words.
