RAN A 5k!!! I can’t remember the last time I could say that. It’s been so many months. Too many months...

I also bought a new toothbrush that is made with a reusable aluminum handle and replaceable brush tips! Uses 80% less plastic. Thought it was cool, so I’m giving it a try.

Getting back to the old running grind anyway I can! 👟

Walmart now sells Colgate Keep toothbrushes! the Ibotta app featured the Keep toothbrush rebate two weekends ago, but it was not in stock. This weekend, though, it was in! The Keep is an aluminum handle (lighter than I expected) with replaceable heads to reduce the amount of plastic. The handle with 2 heads is $10 (Ibotta gave us a $5 refund on it), and the replaceable heads are sold in a 2-pack for $5. Considering that my Walmart only sells bamboo toothbrushes wrapped in plastic, this was a good move.

Even though this reduces the overall amount of plastic, each head still has a lot more plastic than just the nylon bristles from a bamboo toothbrush. Still, there are only two stores I know near me that sell bamboo toothbrushes regularly (Walgreens and T.J. Maxx) and one of those stores contains mostly plastic-packaged greenwashed toothbrushes. Target’s website also lists the Keep, but it was not in stock this weekend.
