Fainting Mid-Conversation Whump
“Hey, where is that puddle of… blood coming… from…”
“Wait, wait, give me… Give me a second, need to…”

Hero comes home after a long day to find Villain sitting in their living room. Hero immediately pulls out a weapon, but all Villain does is stand up with a weak smile on their face.
"One step ahead of you," Villain says, then collapses.
Only when they hit the ground does Hero see just how much blood is soaked into Villain's shirt.
athlete whumpee is forced to play the game by their coach. they're not feeling well and really should be in bed, but they can't say no, so they try their best. then they reach their limit and ask to be substituted off. the request is denied over and over again. the message is clear: keep playing. ask again and i'll give you a real reason to get out of play.
when the game is over, everyone's commenting on whumpee's sloppy performance. their lack of awareness on the field, lazy passes, slow pace, and how rude they were when they skipped shaking hands with the other team to get straight off the pitch.
which is when they collapse. or throw up. maybe even have a seizure. whatever it is, they're clearly not well. only a small section of fans can see it from their position in the stadium, but people talk, and suddenly everyone's re-evaluating the game footage, zooming in on whumpee and trying to see if there were any signs of illness).
(there are so many signs. and now everyone's picking apart whumpee's health, coming up with rumours and gossip, with some of it wandering dangerously close to the truth).

Whumpee put all their weight on the (insert any object) next to them, gasping. "Caretaker... my leg hurts... can we take a break?"
"Oh, sure!" Caretaker replied. They began looking around for a bench or anything for Whumpee to sit down on.
Caretaker didn't find anything (or maybe they did your choice), so they looked back at Whumpee, and saw that their leg was shaking, badly.
And suddenly Whumpee collapsed.

vision blacking out and blindly reaching for caretaker
"Wait, wait, slow down a second..."
reuniting after some time apart, and collapsing into their arms without speaking even a single word
swaying, blinking rapidly while caretaker sprints to reach them in time
walking in silence side by side after a fight, refusing to admit when they should be slowing down, until their legs just give out
"You okay? You're looking a bit pale."
after a night separated, where whumpee was unable to sleep for even a second, they collapse as soon as they are safe
"I'm okay, really. I just need a snack and I'll be okay" followed by caretaker finding them slumped over in front of the fridge two minutes later

resisting with pure adrenaline fueled rage and collapsing in the middle of a sentence
WHUMPER
“Are you sure you want to do this, Whumpee? Couldn’t even defend yourself against me, and… Ah, there you go. Weak, as always.”
eyes lighting up with delight when whumpee resists… and even more so when they collapse
“Aw, poor thing. Brave and pathetic as expected.”
cirling the two of them slowly, while caretaker moves with them to stay in between whumper and whumpee
“This is your big saviour, Caretaker? Bit embarrassing, isn’t it?”
watching caretaker try to frantically wake whumpee in amusement
“You have a choice here, Caretaker. You can either suffer the same fate as Whumpee, or just hand them over.”
crouching beside them and reaching out to caress whumpee’s face, until caretaker yanks their body away
CARETAKER
“No, stay down— Whumpee!”
pressing lips to whumpee’s head and whispering “You’re such an idiot” in a fondly worried tone
“Stay back! Don’t touch them!”
catching whumpee’s limp body and cradeling them while glaring at whumper
Another situation I'm compelled by: famous caretaker and bodyguard whumpee. Maybe because of whumpee's proximity to caretaker, they have a fan base of their own.
Whumper is caretaker's manager, and planned on whumping caretaker, until whumpee stepped in and volunteered to take the whump for caretaker (without their knowledge of course). Caretaker is worried about whumpee, who doesn't say anything about the bruises now showing up.
It all comes to a head when whumpee, out at an event with caretaker, collapses for seemingly no reason next to the red carpet.
i'm eating this post alive holy shit. nobody expects the bodyguard to collapse. nobody's even looking at them, they're so distracted by caretaker. so when whumpee goes down, everyone's initial reaction is shock. and then concern, obviously, but that concern could easily be directed at caretaker, because why else would whumpee be hurt unless they were trying to protect caretaker from something?

nobody knows whumpee or cares about them enough to assume someone is targeting them specifically. they're a bodyguard. they're meaningless. they have no power. there's no point. which makes it so easy for whumper to get away with.
it's so easy to hide whumpee's injuries as well. bodyguards aren't supposed to do the talking or look all happy and smiley. nor are they supposed to wear fancy outfits that could reveal something. unless whumpee is literally at the end of their pain tolerance, they're probably carrying on like nothing is wrong.
and the one person who whumpee is actually close to and who could actually do something about it being caretaker... yeah whumpee is truly alone in this because caretaker can't find out. if they do, then they're both in danger. whumper will start hurting caretaker too, and then all whumpee's pain will have been for nothing.
thinking about how exhausting it is to be a celebrity. endless workdays, press, media presence, travel, interacting with fans. the constant state of hypervigilance they have to be in, even in their own home, because there's always a chance that someone could be pushing boundaries and stalking them.
collapsing on set. falling asleep in the makeup chair. giving nonsensical answers in interviews and giggling uncontrollably at the smallest things because whumpee is so deprived of rest that they can't think straight.
