Another screwy spectra photo, shot on uncooperative impossible project film. Worth all the struggle for sure though!

I've seen posts about the following trope:
Character A is known to be a bit of a dramatic person who blows things out of proportion. They have been known in the past to make the common cold sound like the most unendurable agony.
So when Character A gets sick their complaints are soundly ignored by the rest of the Team - forcing A to try and push through the illness. This inevitablely results in the illness getting exponentially worse - possibly to the point of collapse
Team finds Character A in this state and realises that they weren't exaggering their illness. This causes a brief angst session about how they should've done something sooner - even if they were exaggerating
Which is a very good trope. Love the drama, the angst, the pushing through illness. Love it
However, I think there is a lot of knife-twisty potential in a Team that is aware that the illness of Character A is that bad however they just don't care.
Picture this:
Character A has an illness that should put them on a few days bedrest at minimum. However, the Team have far more important things to do than care for Character A. And besides, they've all worked through illness before and it can't be that bad if Character A is cognisant enough to complain about it.
So Character A is forced into working through their illness - their complaints being ignored by the Team. If they're lucky one of the Team might roll their eyes and throw a packet of ibuprofen their way. This leads to Character A collapsing - possibly due to fever, possibly due to exhaustion - and this forces the Team to look after them.
The Team is not happy about this - but a dead Character A is far less useful than a temporarily sick Character A. They care for Character A with absolutely no sympathy and constant questioning along the lines of "Do they feel ready to get back to working yet?"
Character A is pressured back to work the instant they start to feel better which could possibly lead to a relapse because they were feeling better but they weren't recovered. Which leads to the Team not believing them because "You just got over that" and the cycle begins anew.
Character B is minding their own business, having a quiet night in, when Character A comes stumbling in, almost doubled over, and clutching their abdomen. Character B rushes over to help and peels Character A's hand away, noticing the blood that is staining it. Character A looks at them with glassy, unfocused, eyes and mumbles something unintelligible before their legs completely buckle underneath them
Character A has an iron deficiency. They've decided it's nothing too concerning and keep it quite close to the chest. Until they go to stand up too quickly and promptly go straight back down - their head colliding with an nearby piece of furniture on the way
lets talk about people being chased or running away or escaping and they are so injured they slump against the wall, and have to push with one hand to keep going whilst clutching their side. They leave bloody handprints in their wake. Shoutout to the rescuer catching them just as they fall forward. Urgh I'm having feelings ok
Anon, you are speaking my language!
I love, love, love characters who are so exhausted or hurt or in shock that they barely realize that they’re falling sideways or leaning against things for support until they push away from that wall, leaving those beautiful, beautiful bloody handprints in their wake. They know they have to keep going. They can’t go back to the torturous hell that they just escaped. But their body is betraying them.
Their feet trip over air, sending them colliding into more things. Their eyelids feel like lead and it takes everything they have to keep their eyes open, let alone to stay upright and moving. Then, just as their vision grays out and they can feel themselves pitching forward with nothing to do to stop it, firm arms catch them. It’s the first soft thing the whumpee has felt in...they don’t know how long. All they can do is pray that those arms do not mean them any more harm. They couldn’t take it, not today.
