“Ryan, calm down.” Sam said quickly getting up so he could cup the male’s face with both his hands. “Look at me.” He said firmly, eyes locked on the other’s. “Calm down. Breathe with me. It is just a spider.” He tried to reason with him. “It’s an isolated case. I’ll take it outside, okay? And then we’ll go back to our essays. Alright?”

Ry was having a hard time breathing as he felt a panic attack hit him with full force. He hadn't had one this bad in a long time. He probably would have passed out if Sam didn't grab his face and force him to look at the other in the eyes. His own hazel orbs widened as he began to calm down, his roommate being his anchor. "I… h-hate spi-spiders…" he managed to get out, body still shaking slight.

Study Room(College AU Drab)

"What do you mean that was the mascot?" One of the students ask in shock while holding a head.

"I MEAN You just took the head of a Bear....that was actually a guy in a costume, Brendan."

"I say that went over pretty well though. I got some KILLER stuff for Youtube."

"Ryo you need to stop posting these idiotic stunts on the internet."

"Aw come on Logan!" Ryo whined. Brendan had gone and stolen the school mascot's head and Logs, being the voice of apparent reason was scolding them. Meanwhile across the Room Chloe and Catherine were doing some dance moves...Well Chloe was teaching them to Cat. They look at each other as the boys bicker.

"You remember when we used to study in here?" Catherine asked. "Surprisingly yes. We were much less fun then." Chloe responded with a smile.

"Ok So we are in agreement. Brendan Gives the head back through whatever it is he said and Ryo, you don't put that footage on Youtube but instead the thing Brendan is going to do. ok?" Logan said to the two CLEARLY planning to defy him.

"Agreed" They both say, obviously lying through their teeth. The Librarian Walks into the study room and facepalms.

"You stole the mascots head.....why."He asks. Logan turns to him and says, "Don't worry Benji I got them to put it back."

"Is that why Brendan is chasing Juliet down the hall?" Logan looks to see that exactly. He places his head in his hands and just shakes his head.

"Why do I even bother?"

and because I can, TOS characters as professors at this mysterious college that is totally different from my alma mater 

James Kirk is a history prof. His own particular interest is in the socio-political side, especially in times of conflict. He teaches 20th century history, mostly. All the history major kids love him. His lecturing style is very energetic, he paces up and down in front of the class and tells history like a story. He also encourages discussion. In warmer weather, he often sits outside on a bench, reading glasses on and reading some thick book.

Spock (no one knows his first name and yes I know Spock is his first name in the show but in this au it's not) teaches 300 and 400 level computer science classes. Everyone's a little terrified of him, but he's obviously brilliant and does a really good job getting everyone through the semester. He's actually one of the most accessible professors in the department. All his students love him, but don't know anything more about him than anyone else. They do often spot him sharing a bench with another man who they think is one of the humanities professors..

(They're married because this is my au and I do what I want.)

Dr Leonard McCoy teaches Anatomy, Human Physiology, and every few years does a section of Gen Bio. His doctorate is actually a PhD; his ambition was to be a surgeon, but it didn't work out, so he hopes to help bright young people match his old ambition. Again, his students like him, especially the ones who work as his lab assistants. He tries to be faculty adviser for as many students as he can. He's best friends with Kirk and Spock and is basically this curmudgeonly adorable man who wears ascots and has a nice drawl... btw I guess these are the TOS movies versions of the characters, in case that wasn't clear

Nyota Uhura teaches both German and French and is actually quite fluent in several other languages besides. She wears a lot of bright colors and every other J-term she leads a linguistics class in Greece. She spent her last sabbatical teaching at Oxford because did I mention she's brilliant. She throws a party for the linguistics department graduating seniors at her house every year and gets Chekov to make his baklava for it. Several times a year Scotty will convince her to go sing karaoke at the townie bar because she has a beautiful voice and he loves hearing her sing as much as she loves singing.

Montgomery Scott, "Scotty" to everyone, teaches physics. His own interest is in particle physics, which he used to research at a big state school. He calls this is "semi-retirement." He's a very demanding teacher and prefers a more informal situation with fewer students to a huge lecture hall. Luckily, the only physics class that even approaches big is Gen Physics. He and Uhura are dating. BECAUSE I CAN.

Pavel Chekov teaches Russian, which not many people study so he's basically half the Russian department. He likes to tell a lot of little "facts" about Russian history, which usually take his students until midterms to figure out are all lies.

Hikaru Sulu teaches literature. He has the most interesting garden in town. He really likes doing dramatic readings during class.

I promised more DS9 college au headcanons, so here we go...

Jadzia Dax is basically everyone's best friend. She's studying biology and computer science and belongs to like five clubs and is a member of the cheerleading squad. She's up for anything: karaoke, D&D, 6 am yoga, you name it. She parties harder than pretty much anyone in the group. She and Worf have very different personalities and no one really gets why they're dating except them. The jealous boys can suck it.

Ezri Dax is Jadzia's cousin, shh just go with it. She's a psychology major. She's genderfluid and was having some trouble realizing that was why she felt so uncomfortable sometimes, but her friends supported her. She's pretty sweet, but she can really unleash a verbal bruising when she tells it like it is.

Quark is a business major who's on the edge of the group. No one likes him much except Jadzia. And maybe Odo, but Odo will never admit to it. "Quark" is a nickname or maybe his last name????? Idk. He's always coming up with schemes to make money. He's gotten over his head with shady characters that way more than once. He does a lot of this online. It's a sort of game between him and Odo to see how long it takes Odo to figure out what his newest scheme is. Odo keeps saying he'll turn Quark in, but he never does.

Julian Bashir is a chemistry student from England. He's a bit of a lovesick puppy around Jadzia, at least at first, but he eventually becomes best friends with O'Brien. He's a dork, but at least he's cute. He really likes LARPing.

Miles O'Brien is a physics major from Ireland and everyone's last candidate for Bashir's friend, but there you are. I guess they bonded over the LARPing thing. He has a music scholarship on cello, and he gripes whenever Bashir, Data, and Geordi come to his concerts, but secretly he's pleased. He and Kira mutually appreciate each other's general awesomeness. He's dating Keiko Ishikawa, a bio major and Beverly's roommate.

Elim Garak is a mystery. He won't tell anyone where he's from or what he's studying (but eventually they figure out he's just an English major and from Montana or something). He makes, or helps make, costumes for O'Brien and Bashir and also for Pulaski, Data, and Geordi's Victorian cosplaying. Bashir is the only one who's really friends with him, but somehow he becomes an integral part of the group. He and Sisko get into a lot of philosophical debates. He and Bashir exchange books and also make out a lot (everyone pretends not to know this because Bashir is convinced they're being very sneaky).
