Wrote and edited an assignment today, sat at my desk for an obscenely long time then edited in a comfy chair as a treat.

I still can’t shake my preference for editing on paper - when I edit first directly into the document I magically lose the ability to remember what I was trying to say lmao.

days 24 - 30 / 30 (+ 3) days of productivity

it's been a long time now. i made it through all 30 days of november, and it still wasn't over because i had a risky final on the 3rd. i have another final (not risky) tomorrow, as well as next week thursday (not as risky, but still important). finals weeks are the closest thing to torture i'll probably ever experience. as for what i've been up to:

studied for my risky automata final for the entire week (needed a 100 to pass with a C-, got like an 80-something obviously)

took my risky automata final (i would've considered it to have "gone well" if it my situation wasn't so dire probably. sometimes life is just like that)

did my final few geology assignments

started reading 'dracula'

did two algorithms assignments

and that's it really. not a long list, but i spent a large amount of time studying for an exam. it was my first time ever trying this hard for an exam, and, while it didn't pay off, i feel like i learned a lot about productivity. i already knew it was difficult and i don't like it, but efficiency definitely pays off more than time and effort. i just wish i figured that out before i was staring at my exam. (curse open-ended exams!!) it took me a while to post since i felt so burnt out afterwards, but it's time to get back on that horse (or whatever the saying is). i think i did well these past 30 days though! i don't think i've ever been so consistently productive in my life. only one overdue assignment. phew. well, i think that's it for me. thanks for all of you looking out for me! i hope you all are well!! good luck with exams!!!

Finished my pedagogy1 lecture notes (we learned about the different types of memory, which was really interesting!) and am now going to relax until I have to leave for my tefl seminar. Really dreading it but I will hopefully survive it :‘) Hoping to spontaneously make plans for tonight with anyone, since all good movies won’t run before 11pm :(

(also: can’t believe interpol will play two shows in germany next year!!!)

hey guys !!! long time no post ! ironically enough, school managed to keep me away from my tumblr blog about school for a 2nd time. but i thought i'd come on here to give the update that as of may 2025 i have a BS in chemistry !!!! so here's a few pics of my last year to celebrate while i talk a bit more under the cut xP

woof..... this year was rough ! so rough ! i almost thought i wasn't going to be able to graduate. i went through the worst depressive episode of my life during the fall semester and got three D's, two of them being in classes i was already retaking. w one of the classes being a prerequisite for a class i needed to take to graduate. when i got an email notifying me that i had been unenrolled from a class i needed to take in the spring to graduate i genuinely thought my life was ending. i wouldn't be able to finish my degree, i would have to move back home, and i'd have to save money until i could afford to go back. i emailed the professor BEGGING to let me back in and he talked it over w the prof who teaches the class i failed (pictured above in the middle !!) whether or not it'd be a good idea to let me take the class if i was retaking his at the same time. dr. jones expressed to him that he didn't think the past semester was my best work and bc those two men had enough faith in me i was able to take (and pass) both classes at the same time. if it wasn't for that i'm not really sure where i'd be at the moment. it was definitely a reminder that building relationships w those around you is definitely important lol

post grad life is also crazy..... currently i'm working a part time sales associate job and am j hoping that i can snag up an industry job soon. i've still been working on my undergraduate research in the mean time and i'm so close to being published i can taste it..... idk..... i hope it's soon..... i also dont rly know what else to add.....
