Succulent Special: Christmas Edition
Teenage Fanclub - Bandwagonesque (1991). Probably one of the most essential band that you get to encounter while in college. Lots of albums to their credit and still releasing good albums. Although my favorite is Grand Prix, this album is just right behind it. Lots of jangle guitars and noise-pop elements. To me they’re more of a power pop band, reminds me a lot of Big Star in their sound. Hearing them now takes me back to those carefree days in college with no worries in the world just having fun and enjoying all that youth and freedom can offer. #teenagefanclub #bandwagonesque #powerpop #janglepop #indiepop #noisepop #collegemusic #normanblake

Siena Fantini Condemns Serial Heartbreakers on Sun-Soaked Pop Single “casual kisser”
Pop artist Siena Fantini’s new single “causal kisser” is a bright and candid track that serves as a biting commentary on teen love. With an intoxicating beat and deeply resonating lyrics, Fantini delivers the perfect lamentation on young heartbreak. “casual kisser” is now available to stream on all digital platforms worldwide. If there’s one thing that’s universal, it’s the inevitable heartache of dating in your teenage years. Atop a sunny beat and catchy chorus, Siena Fantini gives a seething message to the guys who easily move from one girl to the next. Her honeyed voice creates an undeniable hook in the bridge and chorus as she sings, “date these girls for a month / act like you’re so in love / but I know you’ll always be / casual kisser / you won’t even miss her / you’re wrecking lives.” Her vocals blend perfectly alongside lively guitar from Grammy Award winner Andrew Synowiec (Alanis Morissette, Lil Nas X) and Kiel Feher’s (Selena Gomez, Meghan Trainor, Lauv) bouncing drums. “‘casual kisser’ was inspired by the subsect of teen boys who are somehow able to bounce from girl to girl so casually, leaving this trail of heartbroken girls behind them,” Siena Fantini confirms. “It really shocks me to my core when a guy is so quick to move on, so quick to just start casually kissing people. Nick Moon Can’t Get A Grip In New Post-Punk Single “Bonfire City”
Back as abrasive as ever, Nick Moon returns screaming with his latest post-punk single, “Bonfire City,” off his upcoming record, Who is the Bone Man. Moon’s newest track oozes further into his punk influences, whining and waning throughout the 4-minute 18-second fever dream. “Bonfire City” is out now and available to stream on all major streaming platforms. Standing out above the illusive modge-podge of production, kitschy adlibs, and bombastic vocalizations by Nick Moon is the parallel play between the guitar and the bass. Dancing together in a twisted, ominously sensual string battle, they work together to keep “Bonfire City” grounded amidst Moon’s vocalized insecurities and turmoil. The song takes the audience on a frenzied, sleazy journey, featuring chewy Sonic Youth-esque cacophony that can steal any show. “Bonfire City” is exponentially more experimental than Moon’s previous release, “Setting Sun,” but it features the budding hallmarks of his artistry: obnoxiously absurdist lyricism, lawless guitar solos, and an indisputable lacing of irony and satire. “Sometimes this song frightens me because I feel like I haven’t written a better one since,” Moon explains. “It’s my favorite to play live because it’s so catchy and chaotic all at once.” The track is deceptively vulnerable in its paranoia, disguised by its groovy undercurrent and seemingly nonsensical wordplay.
