Someone help!!
I'm making a honeybee!! Which color is better!
Or should I make it in green cause it's for a six year old (who wants to be an entomologist) and that's her favorite color?
That orange is more pumpkin pie ish than bright orange. The picture seems unclear
‼I NEED HELP‼
I'm trying to pick a color palette for my oc, Mark. I can't decide what to use though.
The two main colors I want are purple and yellow, but I dont know how to approach the color placement. Personally I want to keep the jacket purple, but I want to hear others opinions.
Can anyone help me decide what to do? You can also suggest palette choices I didn't show.
Please reply/reblog with color suggestions!
Hi! Your colors are always really nice, do have any advice on picking colors?
Thanks!
I don't know very much about color theory (I just barely learned what an analogous color scheme was a few weeks ago), but I do have a few tips
So, one thing I like to do is use a color more than once in a drawing or design
It's usually the same exact color, but you can also use similar colors too (like a darker version of a color for instance, I do that a lot)
And if there's a color on top, like a jacket shirt, I like to put the same color or a similar one on the bottom too (usually as shoes)
If the colors look kinda weird and I can't figure out why, I usually turn down the saturation so that it's just greyscale
That'll usually show me that the colors are a liittle too similar in value (how dark or light they are), which can make it look kinda weird
Another thing I do is turn the lineart layer off so I can see how the colors look when they're actually touching each other
I tend to go for warm or kinda earth toned colors naturally, but that's more of a personal preference than a tip
I use colors that are bright most of the time, but they're never fully saturated, it's too bright and hurts my eyes
Overlays help bring the color scheme together a lot
I'll usually use a color used in the color scheme already, a bright pink (or other warm color), or a periwinkle for my overlays
(I actually use the screen or lighten layer setting more than actual overlays but they're pretty much the same thing)
And lastly, I usually shade with a dark magenta color, which I think makes the colors look nice :)
I'm sure there's other people you could ask who know more about this subject, but I appreciate that you thought to ask me
My “biggest” post is the one about losing the pen I used to underline the gay subtext in Gatsby.
Is the pen, the gay, or the aesthetic famous?
Cause it surely isn't my

side note if anyone is willing to ship me a pen in this exact shade of blue please hit me up
I'll probably delete soon but I'm trying to pick a background fabric (white in the pattern) for my precut squares. I'm really feeling this pattern and the fabric but I don't know if they're compatible yet.. if they aren't, I'll still need a contrasting fabric for my set. Open to any suggestions!!
I need help! Which of these color schemes do you think would look best as a tattoo?? Vote @ link below!
