I decided to draw her from memory. How'd I do?

Hey I'm not sure what prompted the anon hate but you and your partner are hella valid and honestly the world deserves better than those hateful asses. You guys use whatever labels work for you. I mean im sure you already know all this but I felt the need to tell you anyway.

Aw, thank you. Yeah, I made a silly pan lesbian flag design to be supportive when my girlfriend started contemplating the idea that she might be a pan lesbian. I shared it on twitter, someone discouraged it, so I made a bi lesbian flag out of spite with uhhhhhh... harrass-y results. So I kinda doubled down with my support of bi/pan lesbians over here, again out of spite, which has led to approximately two people being all hateful. X)

Pathetic, really. I’m just mad that these people are making my partner feel unsafe to outwardly identify with something that she feels most accurately describes her experience. It’s especially frustrating that so many people seem to weaponize lesbianism. Lesbians should be able to just exist without it being all, “O h are you a gold star lesbian?” or like, “If you don’t like pussy you’re not a real lesbian,” or “If you don’t like oral sex ur a pILLOW PRINCESS and therefore not a REAL LESBIAN.” What about ace lesbians? What about lesbians who like... aren’t into oral sex? What about trans lesbians, or cis lesbians who love trans women? I see sooo much discourse, and just... why can’t they just be? Why does it have to be like a club with membership cards?

It’s... ugh. It’s very toxic. I wish I could inject more positivity into that part of the queer community. I want to, but I’m not a lesbian, so I feel like all I can really do is be like, “Hey, gatekeepers. Fack yuo.” I ended up editing the heck out of my response to those anons because I messed up my initial reaction, being kind of an outsider. I’m very grateful to my partner for helping me correct it.

Anyway, it means a lot to get reassurances. Thanks, friend. <3 I hope you’re doing all right.

I don’t follow her now because she talks about a lot of stressful stuff for me, but she’s very inclusive and understanding and supportive of trans women and trans people in general.
