🚨Breaking: At least 64 people, including four police officers, have died in Rio de Janeiro’s largest-ever police raid targeting the Comando Vermelho gang in the Alemao and Penha favelas.
The operation involved 2,500 officers and 32 armored vehicles.
The raid took place just days before major climate events in Rio, including the C40 summit and Prince William’s Earthshot Prize. Authorities executed 250 arrest and search warrants during the operation.
