NOTE: This guide is in the process of being remade!
In this guide I'll be showing you some positioning strategies for dealing with frenzy stages in Love and Deepspace Deepspace Trials.
While watching the videos, ignore the timers on them, they were taken from separate attempts. Focus instead on the method shown.
Strategies take into account no manual locking for enemies. I used Fresh Paint Rafayel with Hunter Claymore, but you can still adapt these concepts to your companion and weapon of choice.

A Frenzy Stage is a 3-wave fight in which the goal is prioritize killing the frenzy enemy. Frenzy enemies spawn several seconds after the start of each wave and are identified by a red glowing aura.
You have 20 seconds to kill each frenzy mob to collect frenzy energy - a persistent damage buff that you need to carry through to the end of the fight. There is 1 frenzy enemy per wave. Generally, you need 2-3 frenzy energy to clear with reasonable stats.

Highly recommended to get Oath Recovery 12% to be able to use Ardent Oath at every minute mark. 14-17%, or even 20%, will give you more wiggle room for using oath.
For Open, Light, Ice, Fire, and Gravity Orbits:
- Wave 2 frenzy enemy is the easiest to kill. You can opt to skip getting frenzy energy in Wave 3; get frenzy energy from 1 and 2.
- Benchmark for a clear is if you can kill the Wave 1 frenzy enemy comfortably.
For Energy Orbit:
- I would call these "Game Version 2.0 frenzy stages".
- Wave 2 frenzy enemy is the hardest to kill. You can opt to skip getting frenzy energy in Wave 2; get frenzy energy from 1 and 3.
- Benchmark for a clear is if you can finish Wave 2 by 1:20-1:40 on the timer.
Always aim to finish Wave 2 by 1:20-1:40 on the timer. The more time, the better.
More detailed notes for each wave below! Footage was taken from my Fire Orbit 78 attempts.

Gather 3 claymore stacks on your way into the arena, veering towards the right so that you'll lock into the wanderer on the right.
Hit support skill as soon as you lock on. Raf will attack from the right, pushing the wanderer to the left.
Basic attack/charged attack from the right to push the wanderers farther to the left.
Get into position for the frenzy mob to show up, keeping other wanderers out of camera view. If you've done the above steps usually that will be enough to keep them away from the frenzy spawn point.
As soon as the frenzy mob pops up, hit it once with a basic attack, then use resonance. Doing this groups up the frenzy mob with the other wanderers.
Gather stacks while attacking frenzy mob with charged attacks. Do your best to move in a way where you push the frenzy into the other mobs, so that when you do empowered active skill, you'll hit multiple of them. Keep doing this until frenzy mob is dead.
Usually by this point the remaining wanderers are group up relatively close still. Use resonance skill when they are close together, and otherwise kill them.

Hold off on using resonance.
It's important to keep the lupus (shielded dog) in the general area where it spawns - at the north part of the arena.
Lupus will often do a dash attack at the start; if the dash doesn't hit you or Raf, it will keep dashing to the opposite of the arena. You don't want this to happen. I've gotten myself hit on purpose just to keep it in place in some attempts.
Use oath at 1:59 at the latest, even if the lupus is still shielded.
The frenzy mob, a bigger unshielded dog, will spawn near the lupus's spawn point. Get in front of the frenzy mob - line yourself up in a way where the lupus is behind the frenzy. Use resonance.
At this point you'll be forced locked onto the lupus, but since you're lined up in a dog sandwich, you can hit empowered active skill and still be able to hit the frenzy mob.
If you squeeze in tight enough, your target will switch to the frenzy. Your camera may need to be angled so you can't see the lupus. Not fool proof but it's happened often enough for me. If the targeting doesn't switch, just do your best to line up the dog sandwich so your attacks hit the frenzy.
Don't use any more resonance skills until the frenzy mob is dead.
Once frenzy is dead, finish off the lupus.
The quicker you can finish this phase, the better. In my clear I killed these mobs at around the 1:32 mark.

Gather claymore stacks and position yourself to the right of where the dragon lands. Keep close to it to prevent it from moving.
As soon as the frenzy mob spawns, use resonance. If you've kept the dragon in place, resonance will hit both of them.
Optional: Use support skill to get Raf tf out of the way as you move towards the frenzy mob lol
Walk or dash towards the frenzy mob. Really squeeze yourself in there, getting dragon out of your camera view as much as possible, and hopefully targeting will switch to the frenzy. Keep on attacking the frenzy mob but don't use resonance.
If you still haven't killed the frenzy by the time your oath is up at the 0:59 mark at the latest, use oath, even if the dragon is still shielded. It's more important to kill the frenzy at this point.
After that it's a matter of taking the dragon down. It's a Foulwings fight so know that, while it didn't happen in this video, the dragon can go into a lock shield phase where it jumps to the middle, if it lingers too long in the 30-60% 2x HP mark. This dragon can still be damaged while in lock shield state, so don't worry if you aren't able to prevent the lock phase from happening.
Ideally time your final shield break at the 13 second mark so you can hit oath within the weakened window.
